Not necessarily! I invited a frog via amiibo the other day after Goose confirmed he was getting the fuck out. I think I left it a bit late, because @QuackQuack's shitty little mouse beat the frog to it (who was binned off a month prior on his island).

 

Might be worth inviting a preferred islander on the day an undesirable islander is packing up, then confirming the move the next day.

 

At least this mouse isn't an absolute bellend, I guess. YET.

 

Basically, be wary of awful islanders trapped in Animal Crossing limbo on the internet who might steal someone else's space on your island.

Pretty sure yes. Although I have seen that if an islander asks to leave in a regular conversation and you say they can, if another player character who lives on the island talks to them then they can persuade them to stay. I'd guess that would work in this situation too.

I read somewhere that when the game chose a villager you don’t want to leave you can close the game down before it saves. You can then go back and talk the camper into staying again and so on until it picks someone you’re happy to see the back of. 

Seems a massive pain but I was so desperate to get rid of Rocket I almost tried it!

Still loving this game so much, it's just the seemingly endless drip feed of little rewards and discoveries.

 

First blue pansy this morning

 

Put my first dino dupe since I stopped selling them on display (T Rex) and notice you can have jaws open or closed

 

Gazing with envious eyes upon fields of gold roses on other islands and wanting your own

 

Getting a palette swap of something that you already have but this one is a much better colour

 

Giving a villager some dodgy bit of clothing totally at random just because some other villager gave it to you two minutes earlier and it turns out they love it and put it on straight away.

I was digging flowers and upon pressing a to dig, for no apparent reason, my fella spun the shovel round by the handle three or four times before digging (no idea what that was!)

 

What a wonderful distraction this game is

If you’re on an island with others this is the lag. It’s a cute touch.

 

we did a little maze race with 3 people in a maze and 5 others spectating. The lag was insane. Jumping between cliffs, sitting down, digging, everything was delayed by a second or so most of the time.

Ive spent about three weeks tending to a rose factory with the sole aim of guaranteeing a blue rose. And I’m clooooooose. 
 

If you visit today I’d massively appreciate it if you could head to the south west corner of my island and water the orange and red roses. Only a single red bud at the moment, but it’s a very special red. Two of them together have a 25% chance of creating a blue.

We're friends but haven't met yet no. I can open up my island now and just leave it open so you can pop over when convenient - I'll be afk. Don't expect to do much sightseeing because it seems I'm a lazy sod compared to most people here when it comes to working on my little piece of paradise

Left them outside Nooks, which is directly as you leave the airport. They were 2.2k  Cheers

Ahhh, that makes sense, it was whilst I was redoing my flowers and Spanx had just arrived but it was fairly late and I couldn't swear that I hadn't just imagined the whole thing

 

That is quite a cool lag side effect, so many nice little touches in this game.

Been trying to move my rocks into specific locations for about 2 weeks now. I got the first 4 daily. But the last two no dice. Turns out it’s because they’re too close to a building in front of them. So having to move nooks cranny and the museum out of the way and the back again after the rocks have spawned.
