They're great. Kinda weird Nintendo left them in the Western version of the game, as they tend to filter out most of the stuff that's very much tied to Japanese culture.

Need more space around them. I'd originally read two spaces but I've seen things grow with less.

Wish there were some firm rules regarding villagers displaying the items you give them. 
 

I wanted to give Admiral a violin beetle, and although he has loads of room on his floor, he currently has his pink hamster placed. And I don’t want to replace it. Or the creepy body I gave him. 
 

Decided to “just say hi”, except he goes “You don’t happen to have a violin beetle on you?! Will you sell it to me??!” and I couldn’t refuse him :( 

 

I gave my crane a pink lava lamp and he replaced his beautiful pink palm tree light with it which fucking annoyed me. 
 

Gave my monkey a bunny day bed cos her house is shit and she has loads of room. Nope, won’t display it. Keeps her shitty wooden block table. 
 

And my duck won’t wear a dummy. Sad times.

I haven’t tried it yet but can’t you keep gifting them wallpaper and carpet as well as homeward items to force them to update their homes? It works with clothes, I’ve given my villagers a load of clothing items and they’ll sometimes wear them instead of their default outfit.

Nope. And they won’t display anything that can be hung on a wall. Clocks, plants, pictures. They’re doomed to look like shit and rotate the meagre crap the do display. Wankers.

To be fair, if you came to my island and gave me a bunny day bed for free I'd probably throw it in the bin and delete you from my friends list.

Hopefully they’ll patch it but that might always have been true in AC games. I don’t really want to evict my original villagers, I like all of them.

I'm finally done with Project Rocks

 

 

It really was a pain placing out all the god damn mannequins but even worse was the waiting game. I was afraid to fuck something up with my nips and such so I didn't dare to time travel, but believe me when I tell you that I thought about time travelling...a lot.

My Cranny is open and todays luxury item is a white bubble bath for 130k bells. I'm open and it's raining if you wanna try to get a coelacanth. I'll stay open to around 8 UK time.

I was lucky enough to have all rocks spawn in the intended spots, I’d lose it if the last one had spawned somewhere else :lol:

I cheated the system a bit to sort the rocks (and that shame shall forever hang over me), but going legit for everything else. 

 

So a period of moving is now underway. The Cranny is at the Plaza, which was an important move. I can leave Able Sisters where it is for now and move it last, as it was already in roughly the right area. Need to move two homes to the other side of a river, then can extend the paths to place the others in the main part of the island. Then can place my an my son's homes. 

 

Also moving a bridge two spaces is a pain but needed, so that'll take a couple of days. 


When all that is done I can plan properly the rest of the water layouts and link all the paths, before working on where my other features go. 

 

I love having a project to do in this.

My entire island is on hold because of lack of funds to move everything and because I can't decide on the last 2 villagers I want. I'm thinking Sprocket and a wolf. Maybe a deer. Anyway, my play time on it has gone right down till I sort those two things out.

Have open up for visitors, Saharah is in town today, mostly she has been around the south and east beaches but she does wander around a bit

She gave me palace tile floor and garden mist wallpaper but I think she give different stuff to different people?

 

Mira is currently crafting Dark Wooden Mosaic Wall and there are a load of crap recipe duplicates on the beach for free

 

I'm going to be working so wont be active in game
