I'm sure Isabelle alluded to 'seasonal extras available' in the daily briefly, but it washed over me at the time. Went to the shops, but nothing additional there... was it just a nod toward there being new fauna around? Did anyone read it properly/have it stick?

My understanding is it extends to one of Nook’s shirts in “coral”. 
That’s all I can see that might be considered new? And one of the rugs?

I look forward to checking it out and it being a crap rug shaped like a bell ticket that nobody ever uses. 

 

Rugs outside would be good, for picnic areas, beach towels and the like.

FYI, there's an item called 'Beach towel' that acts like a piece of furniture, as opposed to a rug, so you can lay it outside. I can order one for you if you'd like. There's several different designs, I believe.

It’s a ‘thank you mom’ mug for Mother’s Day under a seasonal items tab. Took me a while to spot it.

There's a "thank-you mom mug" in the Nook shopping Special Goods bit if you tab across with L/R to the Seasonal page.

Bah just swapped a load of DIYs then you disconnected I think and I got chucked back to the airport with most of mine back in my inventory. I can pop back tonight for cataloguing and to try again!

From my experimentation it seems like there's one only  'slot' in their house they'll put things you give them, aid giving them something new will replace whatever is there. I can't get them to put up wall hanging stuff, and they don't use flooring or wallpaper. Which sucks because my earliest villagers like Biff have completely bare houses yet I can't get them to put more stuff in them!

 

Also you know how they display fish that they ask you to catch? Does anyone know if you give them new fish, will they replace the crappy fish they have?

Open to friends, I am leaving a ton of recipes on the path to my house, please take them as I'm trying to get 5 star rating and I can't have so many recipes lying around! And if no-one needs bunny day recipes any more then I'll just sell the ones I have. Weird design choice to not let you store recipes!
