I checked my island score this morning and I was rewarded my 5th star rating. This weirded me out because the last time I checked I was at 4 stars and the only thing I've added since are about 300 mannequins. Now I'm afraid that the mannequins adds island points which is kinda unfortunate if that's the case. 

Ah well, got the golden watering can. Will roses spawn gold ones even if I get knocked down to 4 stars?

Yes, so long as you water them with the golden can.

My 5 star rating lasted all of 1 day and all of my golden roses have appeared on 4 star days

I let Sherb move out of my island too. I agree he was a bit of a whinger and when he said he was thinking about going I gave him the nudge in the hope of getting someone better. Hard to believe he’s one of the most valued.

Tank is currently crafting oil barrel bathtub and there are quite a few recipe cards in my free swaps bit too

As always, if you feel like doing some watering there is a market section near plaza and house, grab a free can too!

Hopkins is currently at my campsite but there’s no room on the island. I’d take him if I could on account of him being blue and there being no other blue villagers.

 

I’m not a fan of the campsite games. ‘What card am I holding?’ How the hell should I know?

Nice to see everyone enjoying this and look at all the ways your islands are coming together! I've been on Junon since launch (my New Leaf town was Midgar) and am really enjoying the game. Perfect escapism and chill given our current situation :).

 

In future I will open my gates if I get good turnip prices - I've got a wicked mix of villagers I am very happy with (including Raymond, Ketchup and Drago!) and I have all kinds of fruit that people are always welcome to help themselves to.

I dropped 4 watering cans on my 5 star Island to help the Watering Posse and was downgraded a star for having too many dropped items

Let's see how long these things last here with my gates open then I might start leaving higher value stuff out, most in demand seems to be the man cave stuff (arcade machines, pinball, darts etc) and musical instruments I think...

Hmm the red velvet seat I'm currently using will probably work OK until I find a matching brown or camel one for the piano. I really appreciate the offer though.

It still takes days to get them to move in. And you have to craft them stuff and talk to them. So it’s not like ordering something from the catalogue lol.
