Not my idea, mind. This video popped up in my recommended feed on Youtube and I warmed to the idea as soon as I saw it. I'm using this exact method ( I did a search and there are slightly different ways of doing it, but seems the least time consuming overall)

I have no idea what I just watched.

I dunno... it's ingenious but... surely, it's entirely counter to the point of AC to be looking at ways to break and exploit spawn logic to alter the game in ways that were  not intended. Doing any of that without time travelling would be immensely tedious, the rock garden looks bad and the intent seems to be to get resource gathering out the way as quickly and efficiently as possible. Do they even like the game?

Oh I get you, but my overall plan for my island is for it to be aestetichally pleasing to wander around. I’m not time skipping, and this whole process is very tedious and kinda ruining my enjoyment during these days where my entire island is filled with soulless mannequins that’s in the way of walking freely around.
There are, however, loads of interesting ways of making the rock garden look good ( imo ). My plan is to eventually have the rocks as a part of a graveyard, but I like the example in this video as well:

I’m pretty much with @Ste Pickford on this, I started out a couple of weeks ago smashing a couple rocks daily in hope of them spawning in less annoying places but they always found an even more annoying spot so that’s why I’m now spending a week bending the rules a little.

Edit: To answer your final question, yes I do like the game. A lot. I love it in fact. If the final rock is in its intended place on monday, the mannequins are gone and I can forget about the process I’ve been through. Down the line, this project will be nothing but a distant memory of something I did ages ago.

Just opened the gates for a bit. I'll be AFK working, but the dodo code is DP7Y3

There's also a 76k yellow washing machine for sale, which is a bit much for me.

I hope the recipes by your house were left as spares as I just picked a couple up. I dropped 3 in exchange by your letterbox.

I know a few of us were looking for Leif yesterday.  He is in my town today so have opened up.  As well as the expected Azalea he also has the Hibiscus starts today

I have already raided Nooks so the remaining high value items are up for grabs if you want them.

If you would like to do a little watering too that would be awesome.  Just the Orange Tulips next to the free recipes, the black and yellow rose strips and the purple/ black/ orange coloured strips on the way up to nooks.

Also if anyone wants some flowers for their island please just ask here. Can give away most types other than the roses that I am trying to breed at the moment

I'll be off working so wont be active

Spotted a comms error message on screen so have re-opened.  Think Leif is quite popular today

I’ve been smashing the rocks every day with the vague hope that they’ll spawn near the one that I’ve been leaving in place. I’ve got tonnes of grass but I was still hoping one or two of them might spawn nearby. No luck so far. I’m having a lot of issues with stuff spawning in the orchard, obscured by the trees.

Got my first purple pansy today!! And more "proper" hybrid orange roses. Finally making some progress.

I think I will create a new patch near my entrance and try and entice some friendly watering :)

Remember I still owe you some purple roses if you still want them

Of course. I’ll forgot to send bells for postage too, I’ll do that later. Cheers again.

Forgot to post last night

I did post 2 today - let me know when you're about and I can either drop the rest off to you or you can stop by to pick up.

After lamenting my terrible island after visiting Licky End, Hullabaloo et al I started on my orchard and market place today. Small steps. I'll never have anything as ostentatious as some peoples, but I'd like something more organised and purposeful.

Next is figuring out where I'm going to put all my neighbours and if I want to blow another 8 quid on Etsy Amiibo cards for specific chartacters.

The gold nugget drought has now gone on for over a week. I’m not in immediate need of any, it’s just that I WANT MORE.

I mentioned it a few days ago too, surely it's not just us. I even went to about 5 Nook islands the other day and zilch gold nuggets. I'm sure they've been nerfed, before a few weeks ago I had about 20!

I got lucky early on and had a rock spawn next to another, I decided to make it a feature and if you go by my park pond there's a Koi fish tank perched in between them. I preferred working around their locations although I feel for people with busy islands who get rocks cropping up in the way of things!

With Leif is it only Azeleas that bloom in this season? Too much pink everywhere!

Does anyone have a link to the cherry blossom items? I still have loads of petals and am missing quite a few of the blossom items.

I think you and I are pretty much the same when it comes to island envy. I feel everyone elses island is better than mine in some way or another and that includes yours! There's something really zen like, calm and relaxing about Helle and I've always enjoyed my trips there. What I also love about Helle is that you get right into the shopping area from the airport.

I'm still hoping my long term plans pay off, I've got a proper diner planned, an outdoors museum area with souvenir stalls, a graveyard, a gym, a spa and all sorts of other stuff but I don't even have half the items I want for it all so it's all baby steps.

Now that I've laid down the foundations for my ultimate goal I think I can cut back on a lot of the daily gaming time on AC and even get to play other games again because I'm afraid I'll burn out if I continue to faff around for 6-8 hours every day.

Yeah that's the one thing I was chuffed with the forethought of, although now they all need to be at least one square back from where they are :/

I'm still getting the occasional one from breaking my rocks, had one from a balloon yesterday too.  Using up 6 on a gold toilet was also probably one of the best things I've done in this game!

Open again if people want to shop from Lief

I'm off out for a bit so won't be playing, but if anyone fancies a look around Flagstone the gates are open with Dodo code KQM2G.

Able has some nice pretty flowery tights, poop hats, matching flight jacket / pilot's cap plus a astronauts space suit and more. Red sewing machine and candle in a glass in Nook's. Don't bother bringing your turnips, their prices are shit.

Few recipes and fossils down on the beach if anyone wants to take/swap any.

Please don't stomp on me flowers :hat:

EDIT: Gates closed up now.

Capes. Standalone capes would be good in this.

Well, just a 'neck' slot, really. Scarves, frills, capes, frankenstein bolts, a camera that isn't draw into a shirt texture; that sort of thing.

Island is open to friends now, fill yer boots!

Think we both bought genuine pieces. Turns out he can have 0-4 real things each visit, I assumed it was just one.
