Have opened up to friend list.  Just Nooks and Kicks in town, no Leif or Redd unfortunately

 

If you feel like doing some watering there is a small patch of orange tulips next to the free recipe swaps and two really scruffy looking sets of mainly black and purple flowers to the right of the plaza near where I am standing.  Help yourself to the watering cans on the tables 

 

Am going to be off making a late dinner, been too distracted with this as usual

I’ve opened my gates if anyone wants a look around, not had any visitors before

 

Its a shared island with my wife, 4 and 7 year old, whole family are loving playing each day and it’s become a bit of a focal point of this lockdown, love it

 

Island name is Elijess and Switch name jamesh

I was really happy this morning to register that the project I started yesterday actually works. Unless something weird happens on my island, I should have all 6 island rocks in a confined space come monday! Two down, four to go.

I was actually thinking about your island while doing my project. I've hardly built anything yet so I had to put down a lot of things to prevent rock spawning. I guess if you did it you'd basically only needed to make room for the rocks and voila, done :lol:

Not my idea, mind. This video popped up in my recommended feed on Youtube and I warmed to the idea as soon as I saw it. I'm using this exact method ( I did a search and there are slightly different ways of doing it, but seems the least time consuming overall)

I know a few of us were looking for Leif yesterday.  He is in my town today so have opened up.  As well as the expected Azalea he also has the Hibiscus starts today

I have already raided Nooks so the remaining high value items are up for grabs if you want them.

 

If you would like to do a little watering too that would be awesome.  Just the Orange Tulips next to the free recipes, the black and yellow rose strips and the purple/ black/ orange coloured strips on the way up to nooks.

 

Also if anyone wants some flowers for their island please just ask here. Can give away most types other than the roses that I am trying to breed at the moment

To be honest the appeal to me was the idea of setting a space for your rocks, then smashing them every day and hoping one would respawn in the space you've selected (1 in a thousand chance or so), and then doing it again every day, until one day they're all in that spot.  So it would be a kind of daily grind / zen thing in itself to make it happen.  And look odd because visitors know you can't move rocks.


The mannequin thing I thought was clever because you can get rid of them all in one go.

I thought about it for a few seconds and then I saw the mannequin trick and decided I was far, far too lazy to place all those mannequins. Also, I like my randomly placed rocks as they are dotted around the place in such a away that I do them every morning during my daily fossil hunt.
