Sounds like a bit of a twat tbh @Azrael.

So, I am not the best when it comes to these bloody flowers. Not by any long shot. Even though I understand genetics, the walls of text are impossible to read and take in.
And I have no space for huge flower fields to try things out and mass produce.

My only hybrids for a long time were three blue and three pink windflowers I brought back from a mystery island (one of your natives will spawn hybrids on islands).

Anyway, because I have to try and incorporate my flowers into my packed island, and cos I’m shit with breeding flowers, it’s extra special when you suddenly notice something like this

It has pride of place now ^_^

I have managed to make a few pink cosmos easily, and today I discovered my first home grown blue pansy. Very happy indeed.

Was speaking to my brother last night and in absolute hysterics listening to his Animal Crossing Turnip shenanigans. I had gifted him 200 nips last week so he could try it out, he found an island online with a decent selling price and off he went to sell. He made about 100k from his sale but then when leaving he stumbled across where people were obviously leaving tips. He thought this was gifts left out for visitors by the host so lifted 5x 99k bags, then he found what I assume was a fossil exchange section and helped himself to the lot. Then when he got back to his island he didn't realise you could donate fossils from other islands to your own museum so sold them all. Such a dumbass.

This week he got his own turnips and was using the turnip exchange website to find an island. He found one buying for over 600 bells but the host wanted 10NMT for entry. My brother felt 3NMT was fair enough so popped over with that. The host had blocked all routes to the shop until payment was made. My brother said he only had 3 and the host just messaged back with "Leave!". So my brother skulked down just out of view and waited. Someone else came along and made payment, the host moved to the side so this guy could proceed at which point my brother sprinted from his hiding spot, barged passed them and headed for the store, at this point the host gave chase but my brother managed to get there first and make his sale. Left the store with over 1.2m bells then went back to where the host was and gave him the 3NMT before leaving.

Says he's annoyed with leaving the tickets but said he had the biggest grin on his face for the rest of the day and kept on laughing about it.

He also managed to buy more turnips from someone's island yesterday then visit another island to sell them. This person was only asking for 1NMT which he was ok with but he forgot to bring one with him. Says the island wasn't closed off and when the host asked for payment he started "chatting up a crocodile" and pretended to not see her message. He kept talking to the villager while the host was hovering around then as soon as she went to greet someone else he was off like a flash to the shop to make his sale. Then she chased after him when he was leaving so he begrudgingly her 2× 99k bags which he felt was fair.

He's a fucking menace.

Blimey!

Friends only from now on...

Yeah they are. What’s your Switch ID?

I'm SW-2225-4908-7401. Anything you looking for?

Yeah, Azraels' bro's skulduggery, plus the Nook Miles Tickets trading doesn't sound like much fun at all. Why are people putting so much value in those things anyway? Every time I travel to a mystery island it's practically worthless unless I go to the insane effort of farming tarantulas for three hours.

Stone, iron and weeds for me. And regular wood. I’d never have the stuff I have without farming.

Ah, I suppose being further along you need much more of that. At this point I still have a large stockpile from my own island.

Only 150 weeds max grow on an island, and I have more than that placed decoratively lol.

There are non-native fruit, rare and valuable fish / bugs/ flowers, money and golden nugget islands.

I think The NMT payment is for people grinding for encounters with villagers they want to move in. That or they stack better than bags of cash if you’re expecting to get a lot of punters in would be my guess, but I have no idea if that’s true.

Should do. I accidentally landscaped Bitty's house off from the mainland with a delightful hoppable system of waterways and she's been stood outside her front door all day staring into space.

Good.

I've been to about 14 mystery islands and they've all been dull apart from one blessed with 100% trash fish leading to trash recipes. Maybe I've had terrible luck. I remember a chart somewhere with the chances of landing on an island with rare stuff (finned fish, money, etc) and the chances are very slim. Also, Capone gave me all the non-native fruit within the first hour. :D

I've just convinced a dog named Shep to move to my island. Blue Peter reference? Anybody got him? He seems narcissistic, but don't they all?

You need to look at the layout of the islands you visit to determine what they are. This seems like the best guide so far:

Here's the chart I've seen before;

Spoiler

image.thumb.png.d829ed6fa1924b81ca14449a8036be05.png

So, as you can see, 1-5% for the islands I'd be interested in. I imagine these NMT traders must be burning through them to find the rare stuff.

(Hmm, I'm getting 104% when I add the numbers together, so that can't be right...)

I've never heard the 5am music before, it sounds lovely! There's only about 5 hours out of the 24 I haven't heard (2am - 6am), which makes me realise how often I'm playing it  I need to go to youtube to listen to the missing hours.

Hmm. Looks like Naomi has invited herself to an empty plot tomorrow. She sounds like the worst.

No. I've got an islander in the same situation (my fault, I think she's alright, but I'm planning an island renovation atm). She managed to make it to the KK gig tonight.

That is art. The choice of position for the servers and stalls and telephone box required a good eye. Very attractive. My favourite bit is at the end here...

..where the roof of that house looks like Fuji. Doubt by accident.

No one needs to hear the 3am music. No one.
