There are non crafted sets.  I've got parts of the imperial, diner, cute and throwback sets for example although the throwback set seems to be more of items rather than furniture.  Some of the villagers have set based themes in their houses too.

I bought an antique console table from @moosegrinder 's shop this morning, which I presume to be part of a set.

 

No Atari VCS to go with it though :(:hat:

What's the deal with Redd and such then? My wife found him, bought a painting and gave it to Blathers. I logged on, (same island) can't do anything with Redd, can't do anything with Blathers, can't do anything at Redd's ship. Is there something we're supposed to do somewhere?

I'm guessing only one person can get the painting from him and hand it in to Blathers to trigger the Museum upgrade, you'll just have to wait for that to happen and his next visit.

God I'm sick and tired of my island. I hate the layout and I've been really close to reseting the entire thing and start fresh, but I think I'll try to simply take a break from DIY projects and just collect whatever I can. I'm in dire need of furniture, especially tables and chairs. Beds too.

I'd be surprised if customising variants of furniture through a llama isn't a returning feature from New Leaf - if anyone's breaking their back getting all 7 types of an A board then they might want to wait a bit and see what next month's update brings.

 

@Rayn that'd be hasty imo. The hour or two it'd take to level your island with the terraforming and the pennies it costs to delete bridges and inclines is probably worth doing over erasing your game progress.

Me too. Just stick with it as you can move all the buildings and terraform the lot later on. I need to move pretty much everything.

For those that haven't tried it, the pier acts as any other bit of land, rather than being 'pre-baked'. You can put down custom designs and furniture. Don't know about paths, actually, but doubt it. Anyone know?

I'm in the process of moving pretty much everything.  In some ways its a curse that you are limited on how much you can do in a day, in other ways its definitely a benefit

I've opened up for a bit if anyone is looking to visit somewhere. Nook's Cranny just upgraded, and buying turnips for 414.

 

Likely to be afk while I work.

I think it was my own wifi, my office can be a bit flaky at times so I've moved it back to the dock.

I just went to visit @Squigs too just for a browse but I think the high price of nips made it busier than it would have been otherwise. Cut my visit short because of the loading. It really is annoying.

 

Thanks for opening though, I did manage to leave with some new brollys.
