I other news, I hope I can make paths soon but have no clue what triggers that. I'm not really doing any work on the island until I can acquire enough decor that suits my plans, which probably includes some paths.

I believe there are a couple of cosmetic house decoration options unlocked after you've paid the final loan. I might be wrong, mind, but I'm quite certain I've read that somewhere (which again might've been a myth...). Sorry for not being helpful at all.

Once you

Get a three-star rating or more from Isabelle, KK Slider will come and play on the island. Credits roll, and you'll get the Island Designer app for paths, etc.

Yep after the final house loan you unlock unlimited exterior renovations (for free)

 

I’m hoping they may increase room sizes in an update

I have Goose too, and he is most definitely not my wingman. He’s a proper roid-rage bell-end is what he is*. I’ve had to patch up a couple of fights he’s been in. The other animal ends up mooching about, really upset, while Goose is off doing curls somewhere and not giving two fucks.
