I bought 4200 'nips for 91 each yesterday, and then sold them on my wife's island today for 142 each.  I was going to hang on for a mega profit, but changed my mind as I want the slow burn of the game to continue, and I would have pretty much maxed out my house room wise with the kind of money I could have gotten.  I might switch to buying fortnightly from now on.

If you lay down a pre-made path design like the sand one as a 'base', then lay a custom tile over it,  you can then round off both layers. 

 

This isn't perfect because that top layer still has the properties of a regular custom tile, meaning it's all too easy to accidentally kick it away, but at least you don't have to make tiles for corners of each orientation and you get the nice irregular grass overlap at the edges.

I check tomorrow but think I saw 3 items in gfs store.

There were more fruits on new leaf right? Bananas, durian and lychee maybe.. I wonder why they're not included on this one.

Part of me wants to take a similar approach, as the gradual upgrading is the essential joy of the game for me, but on the other hand I never actually maxed out my house on the 3DS before I stopped playing, and it would be nice to make it this time round!

Yeah there was. Mango too as there were normal and tropical fruit

Yeah, sure there were more. And bushes. -_-

 

I wonder whether updates over the year will add more old stuff. We've already had some previous game stuff probably datamined for future dlc, like (spoilers)

 

the coffee shop and art gallery

so I'll be very happy if Nintendo are keeping the first year of Animal Crossing a surprise for everyone and not spoilable by the many time travellers by not having it in the game code yet. Great news if so.

My plan is to strike it big a couple of times with nips, pay off my last loan and then never bother with nips again. There's very little in the game I'll ever want that costs a lot of money anyway. A crown? Nah. Not pretty enough for me. A 1 million bells ball gown and maybe we'd be talking.

 

The nice thing about this particular version of the game I suspect we'll find are the live patching aspects. In previous versions time travellers could datamine the entire game in days and leave no surprises. This time around we genuinely don't have a clue what Nintendo have planned and that's exciting.

Forgot to find someone my empty plot so got some randomer instead. 

 

Did find the recipe for Gold Armour if anyone is interested. 

 

Other than the Cranny, Museum and Able Sisters place are there any other non-house buildings we can add to the island?

Yeah I could do with gold armour for the big robot too but I wasn't on first dibs so furry muff but if anyone else does that would be great.

If you both have 8 Gold Nuggets then I can craft a set for both
