True, mine was staggered due to Nook Miles, thinking about it. 10 lampposts won't pay for themselves. Clifs and water are triple the price so I just went for all the paths, because...maths! Bad maths.

The in-game messenging system is so rudimentary and drawn out it encourages really basic communication. When I move back to the keyboard or type to someone I've just played with I'll still talk like I've suffered a head injury for a few minutes.

After last month's stringfish hunt taking me well over 300 pieces of bait by my estimation, this month's it's the golden trout that's eluding me. Apparently it's caught in exactly the same place and under the same conditions as the stringfish, so the fact that I've yet to catch one means that it must be the rarer of the two.

I've made a bunch of bait in case its needed for the contest and will use up any remainder on trying for the golden trout too.

Yesterday I actually got another new fish and as am trying to avoid guides it wasn't one that I knew I was missing:

This game, man. When you run over stone in Kimono sandals it sounds exactly as you'd expect it to. Each piece of audio equipment has a different sound quality. And yet I can't craft more than one of something at a time or buy multiple things from the dressing room in Ables.

Yeah, this game shows a lot of labour of love. I also noticed that your footprints are different when you walk in the sand in rainy weather, as well as the sound effects. The way you can shake droplets off of your umbrella when it's raining by tapping A, the jet trail in the sky whenever you've had a visitor in by plane, there's just so many small details we take for granted unless you stop and look. I just :wub: this game.

It should be doable with bait, but those god damn eggs, man, THOSE GOD DAMN EGGS. I've managed to catch 7 fish and 2 eggs in one go. I didn't like those eggs before the tourney but now they can simply fuck right off.

Fucking hell. For the first day in weeks....
MONTHS....! where I got a normal nights sleep, wake up at a normal time, and want to actually do something, and it’s a fucking intensive tournament on animal crossing that I’ve stockpiled loads of bait for :angry: :facepalm::(
