Paths, then. Is it possible to put down diagonal paths or do they have to be either horizontal or vertical? I'm struggling a bit to make my paths line up with my diagonal bridges.

 

I'm also not managing to make them connect neatly to certain things. For instance, there's a gap between the walkway of my water airport and the start of my path, with a bit of grass showing through, which I can't quite get rid of.

 

None of this is a big deal. I'm being a little OCD.

Same here, I like working around the constraints of the island terrain. Plus I've filled up a lot of space already and don't want to demolish it all. I am planning to terraform my cliffs area a bit though as there's not much up there and I want some waterfalls and pools!

Sadly not, to get the best results you'd have to use custom designs on the floor with transparency to give diagonal shapes, people like Nexiv on here already have examples in the design thread. As for the gap thing, yes its annoying, as well as the gap between two different path types. With the airport I've just rounded off the corners of the path where it reaches the airport boardwalk (you know you can do that right?), that makes it less jarring in my opinion.

I bought a bridge kit, and now realise the bit of river I want it to cross is slightly wonky. Am I stuck with it in my inventory forever until I somehow unlock terraforming? What's Nook's return policy? I don't have any other place I want to build a 200k bridge right now haha. 

 

Also still looking for cosmos and lily seeds. Savannah is visiting if anyone wants to buy from her
