I thought you had to breed different colours together, which makes sense. This is saying you just need the same colour! What world is this .

So I reckon I’m probably getting 3 or 4 a day. However, I guess I need to manage the flowers I DON’T want pollinating better. Got a bunch of additional bloody red pansies this morning :/

I've planted loads for cross pollination so guess I just need to do some prioritising. The eurogamer guide distinguishes between red roses and red* roses but I don't think it's possible to see that distinction in-game?

It doesn’t say that although some are from two of the same colour (white pansy + white pansy can give blue pansy). The Polygon guide is wordy but it’s accurate I believe. And looks the same as the euro gamer one.

Correct, the look the same.

A quick run around my island and I’ve counted 23 new budding flowers today so definitely not a limit of 5.

I’ll open up later for people, moving things around and planning inclines so a bit of a mess at the minute, still need to level my old garden.

I use this image for flower breeding. It's s bit lacking in detail on the rose complexity. Got a version from somewhere but edited to make it fit better on a mobile screen.

Hmm, with pansies most of my purples have come from two oranges and I don’t think I’ve had any from two reds as that image suggests.

That's one of the rarest items in the game, both for its value and getting it to pop up at the Sisters'.

 

You could pimp that out on various AC sites and people would probably offer to pay or tip you for a visit to buy it.
