Techincally yes, you can - but you both need to be best friends so that you can plant on another's island, and dig up the flowers you're trading for. You can 'trade' fully grown trees this way, too.

 

Actually - since this discovery, @moosegrinder - are you still after blue hyacinths?

Are roses native for anyone? I'm looking for any kind of rose, or seeds if available. I can pay in bells or trade for anything else if anyone is looking for particular stuff. Lots of kitchen items (no counters though) but only had AC since Tuesday so not at as an advanced stage as some of you.

Got red and white rose seeds available in my store. Open for the next half an hour or so: GSL8T

Don't see why not, you can dig up flowers when best friends so why not items? I've just never done it out of politeness to my best friends but I'm sure treasure hunts are doable, in fact didn't @Rob Rule do one?
