I'm done wasting Nook Miles on Island Tickets, other than that one time I got to Tarantula Island every trip has been pure shite. There's too much cool stuff to spend the miles on  now

I have been wondering about this myself. Although I have had to use it before just do I could get enough wood to do something. I had inadvertently used most of my wood of frivolous things before realising I had real (animal crossing) work to do..

I've never played one of these before but it has certainly gripped me.

It's quite possible you've been wasting your time on several islands....

Also....is it just me but is the Axe a pain in the arse in comparison to the stone axe?  Too easy to chop stuff down.

That’s what it’s for. Don’t use the regular axe for harvesting wood. It will always chop the tree down.

I carry a stone axe around if I need wood (oo-er, etc). Only use the axe if you want to create stumps for attracting certain insects / seating.

Daft question - but why am I finding it so hard to come by wood?  I get loads of hard and soft wood (steady....:eyebrows:) But normal wood is a chore.

According to my resident gorilla, you get more wood from palm trees than the regular trees. He also tells me that small bugs whisper recipe ideas in his ear, however, so I'm not sure if I trust him.

Has anyone got a nice looking desk, or table that’s 2by1 big? All I have is “outside table” and it looks like a fucking ping pong table.

I've got a 2x1 writing desk I can order for you, but only if you give me a surprise treat in return :eyebrows:

(Preferably a kitchen countertop or standing lamp, please).

I don't know if I've been unlucky but tables, counters, anything to place stuff on is like gold dust to me. I've got about 4 tables but all of them are big, no small tables and only one 1x1 stand, a bookcase I got at the start. I'm having to put stuff on cardboard boxes, stools, and log stumps. The humanity!

Same! I just made a begging post on the trading thread. I have a recipe for an iron and wood kitchen sink/counter combi but it requires other furniture items I don't own to create. Apart from the 1x1 end tables you get as part of the basic DIY book, that's it.

Just met Celeste. Is there any predictability to watching the night sky?

Not from what I've seen. They tend to come in waves. If you haven't seen anything for a while I'd give up for a bit. You don't need to catch that many stars to get a decent amount of fragments.
