95 bells for turnips on Isla Way.

 

Dodo is (closed) and gates will be open for the next hour or so. :)

 

Peaches and coconuts are available too, but please don’t take from trees outside town hall.

I'll open up to friends with turnips at 94 but will be AFK for some of it. If you can leave me some flower seeds of your choice I'd appreciate it - lilies, mums and roses preferred. Help yourself to what's at Nook's. Able sisters open. Haven't harvested my fruit yet so please leave that, and watch the flowers, eh?

This is my first Animal Crossing and although I’ve been playing almost every day, it’s only been for 30 mins or so each time. Please can someone tell me where I can get a slingshot from? I’ve checked Nook shopping, asked Timmy and I don’t have any DIY instructions for one either.

Ables shop opened up this morning.

i should probably start making stuff for my fourth resident next.

everybody else’s towns look really cool, and mine is mostly pretty much exactly the same as the first day

Such a good morning on Calypso...

 

Put up a lighthouse on a spit of land on the west coast - hopefully help Gulliver and his crew to stay safe out there.


Then bought a tonne of turnips on the cheap from the missus’ island. She’s local play only I’m afraid.

 

Then I cleared away some trees and built a lovely wind turbine and solar panel farm on my highest bit of land, with an incline going up to it, and a nice enclosing fence.

 

And finally I used a QR pattern creator and the nooklink app for the first time to create a custom design from a photo of my lovely Sheltie Harry, and now I’m wearing his cheeky chops as a tee-shirt.

 

Best. Game. Ever. :wub:

I really can’t recall when it happens but most new DIY recipes are triggered by in-game events, my advice would be to keep forging ahead with whatever hair-brained money-making scheme Tom Nook has for you, talk to the other animals (because they sometimes gift you recipes), pick up messages in bottles (as these always have recipes attached) and just generally cultivate the island.

 

Progress seems to happen as a secondary benefit of just living island life. 
 

Oh! But you can buy DIY recipes from Tommy and Timmy, maybe check what they’ve got.

Try in the cabinet at the back left of the shop. Should be there every day, along with flimsy net, shovel, axe, fishing rod, and watering can. It's also where you buy your daily umbrella, seeds, wallpapers, and floorings, as well as medicine if you don't have wasp nests with which to craft it.

I've done nothing with my house interior yet, just dumping and storing random bits of furniture until I have enough things to work on a theme.

 

Got an S-Rank from the Happy Home Academy this morning, and a banner to celebrate.

 

I think it must be down to the hideous egg-filled spare room I've got for all that bunny crap.

As usual fossil trading behind the museum.

 

If anyone wants my eggs they can take them, wouldn't mind some cherry blossoms if you have spares :)
