You guys with loads of different coloured flowers - how have you “bred” those so quickly? I think have got a handful of hybrid coloured flowers, and I’ve got flowers all over the shop - only a couple of new ones seem to appear daily. Is there a trick to it? The tips I’ve seen suggest leave gaps, water daily and boom. New plants

Those of you talking about controls - I'm really struggling with the tool wheel on up. Surely the bumpers should have been used instead of left/right on the dpad, then the tool wheel could have been holding a bumper and selecting with the left stick? It's not about speed 99% of the time, because I'm not stressing out, but the times when you need to switch quick, or put a tool away for a shooting star, and my thumb just won't go the right way to the dpad quickly enough!!

 

I assume they'll never let us remap anything? 

 

I'm going to add my code to the spreadsheet if that's OK. Only on day 3 so just got the museum and 3rd resident today. Its been years but after lots of hours in wild world and new leaf it's like being home haha

Some Nook Miles islands are filled with hybrid flowers.

@Lyrical Donut your house rooms are just brilliant :D I love the little touches. The hats on the wall in the bedroom and socks on the floor.  

The bathroom and kitchen are excellent. And is your main living space a children’s pre-school?! :wub:

Yeah....I kind of realised that the prize is going to be some sort of garish fucking egg thing isn’t it. That no one wants. Probably just a giant egg. 
 

Is the event really on for 12 fucking days??

I just carry one with me all the time and drop it wherever when needed. Doesn't everyone do that? Though I'm on my second one now as I accidentally gave one to Goose when o wanted to give him a poster of himself. <_<

 

Still at least the next time I visited his house he was crafting away on it and gave me a design recipe

Thanks! I'm currently quite chuffed with every room apart from the kitchen. I think it still looks like some kind of student setup :lol:

 

The main living room is currently experimental - when I get a size upgrade I might go for half serious business / half kiddeh. Or I might dedicate the kids stuff to an outdoor playground when I get the editor. I fucked up by forgetting about a neighbour's bits and pieces for the best part of 2 days because I was already deep into playing it like AC old-school style. Twat.

Oh FFS. Met Goose again and did the this is for you thing so could give him the post of himself. First I nearly gave him my other diy bench and laughed to myself about how stupid that'd be. Before then immediately giving him the creepy doll i bought earlier instead of the goddam poster again

If you catch a snapping turtle from the river and then 'place' it you get to have it as a pet!

 

This is my turtle, Akira. He likes to hang by my Japanese spa bath. Gonna get him a bowl and some weeds to munch on. Sweet.

I had so much excess wood left over while rinsing Nook Islands I felt like it was the right thing to do :p
