How many stupid Bunny Day recipes are there and what's the total amount of these crap eggs I need in order to eventually craft all this shite?

Yeah, and do we have to find and make all of them, or just make the ones we’ve found to get the prize?

I made all the shitty clothes, but I’ve not caught enough water eggs to come up with the recipe yet.

40 Recipes in Total including the 3 you get on the 12th, done mine, now got to put up with 10 days of these pissing Eggs while I wait

To be fair, each egg is worth 200 a pop at Nook's, which is more than the avarage scrub-tier fish you'll probably catch anyway.  Plus they stack up to 30.

I've now setup crafting benches on the beach. and/or residents nearby for bait crafting

Fucking hell. I am so sick of sky eggs. They’ve ruined balloons for me.

Fuck off with shitty events.

Edit: only found 27 :(

Also, I think the algorithm or whatever it is for Bunny Day is off. It’s just silly now. Used a nook mikes ticket and went to an island where all I could farm were earth eggs, all I could fish were water eggs etc etc. And it all looks so ghastly.

Yeah, it has killed my enthusiasm for the game almost stone dead.

I have no motivation to fish anymore, balloons are just recipes for egg things or yet more eggs. I think I will get a few more fruit trees growing, harvest them every few days, and then step back until the whole egg thing is done.

12 days is too much. (See also: 3 days)

I played a fair bit of Pocket Camp where this event was more fun, communal, not intrusive to other aspects of the game and had better rewards. Not sure how Nintendo managed to downgrade from Pocket Camp but here we are.

IIRC Zipper bought all the eggs you had left over after the event closed in Pocket Camp so hopefully it will be similar to Flick’s values for bugs in this so some good can come of it all.

I will hear the whooshing sound in my nightmares.

I have a huge bone to pick with Nintendo. The controls.

I am still struggling with pressing the wrong buttons after a week of using the Switch. I don’t think they’re intuitive at all.

It’s not just the fact “action” and “cancel” are swapped compared to many other games on the other controllers (perhaps all), but even when working though the menus etc. The number of times I turn the fucking lights on and off in my house instead of opening storage. Since when was inventory anything other than up??

And I have proof it’s not just me being old and shit.
I gave the controls to my almost 6 year old today to have a play. Within seconds he was navigating to the net and catching bugs and choosing the slingshot to get balloons. He’s picked it up super quick.
Yet he’s pressing wrong buttons as well. Cancelling actions instead of completing them etc. It’s just not intuitive at all. My kids become excellent at games in a very short space of time. All kids inclined towards gaming do. So the controls fucking suck.

I must have played over 50 hours by now in a week, and I’m still making mistakes all the time. Fucking kicking my paths away or accidentally picking flowers. I’m surprised the controllers haven’t gone through the fucking television.

Is there a way to place inclines so they are along a cliff face (parallel to it) rather than just stuck out at 90 degrees taking up precious space?

I’m trying but it just doesn’t seem to want to know, despite me being sure I’ve seen it somewhere.

I'm sure someone mention they've seen that this can be done, maybe when you can do the terraforming?

Do you just need to have seen that you've had shooting stars to get the fragments in the morning?

You need to 'make a wish' when you see them by:

Spoiler

pressing A with nothing in your hand.

When you see a shooting star, press A. Do this with every star to get a lot of fragments.

I also have an issue with the controls in that it is sometimes difficult to judge the 3D. Sometimes I’m waving my net through thin air when trying to get a floating petal or catch a tarantula. It’s a bit frustrating. Also if you have a spade, and try and craft at a workstation set up outside, or shake a tree, my stupid prick of an avatar will bash the workstation/tree with his spade instead of crafting/shaking. Why would it do that? Surely nintendo know I want to shake the tree, not poke my spade at it, as it will never achieve anything.

Hopefully these plus other annoying problems like unskippable text will soon be patched. Though given the infuriating Splatoon unskippable text at the start of every game after 3 long years, my hope may be misguided.

Along with the fact that the Switch still doesn't have the option for folders, this remains one of Nintendo's more mysterious decisions.

Re: smacking a DIY desk with your shovel - press down on the road to un equip. One you're done crafting, hit right or left on the d-pad to re-equip your most recently used tool.

They won't patch out the text stuff, they never have in the past. Hold B to make it go faster. Also, be patient and try to have a nice, relaxing chilled out time ;)

I'm assuming this is your first AC?

You can actually 'push' towards the DIY desk and hit the interact button, too (no need to unequip).

For AC vets, they aren't actually 'problems'.

Edit - Actuallty , as an example @the_debaser- given that you can put a DIY desk pretty much anywhere on your island, imagine how frustrating it would be if you were close to one in an attempt to catch a rare bug / fish, but because you were less than a metre away from it (and not intentionally pushing into it) you were greeted with the DIY bench options / text, while said rare thing got the fuck up outta there.

It's weird. I don't consider myself any kind of Nintendo fanboy but I'll forgive an awful lot of quirks these games have that normally I'd be annoyed with from any other company.

Regarding shooting stars, do the bits turn up on the beach in the morning? Is that right? And is there any limit on how long you can do this shit?

Yes, and no. I wouldn't suggest hammering stars all night in one go, as there will be plenty of opportunity for more stars throughout the year on everyone's island.

I need to dig up some trees and move them. Can anyone let me over for some fruit please? To give me the power!!!

Big tip for this; grab coconuts from islands and plant lots of trees on the beach. I use coconuts to give me power so I can keep my fruit to sell on other islands.
I just have done over 75 tree moves now. Maybe even 100 lol.

AND NOW I HAVE TO DO MORE BECAUSE OF THE CUNT PLACE THE PLAZA BUILDING HAS GONE.
