My favourite animal left for no reason.

Was always nice to him and gave him gifts. He was always running about with his arms out like a kid being an airplane.

I will miss him only one of my residents I liked. :(

Oh no! That's sad! I wonder why they left? There's 3 of my villagers I'd be gutted to lose!

I may have moaned about the new guy that moved in yesterday but damn he has swanky floors and walls!

After acquiring two metronomes in one day I bought a few more to add to my metronome woods, then found 2 more yesterday and today bought 2 more with different colours. Now they should be renamed the woods of madness, think I may have gone overboard!

Nexiv managed to do her hole on the ground with the pro editor but I can't find any option to place pro designs on the ground, only create clothes and place mannequins. I can place ground tiles with the basic editor. What am I missing or is it something I need to unlock?

Apparently unlike New Leaf there’s no way for a Villager to leave without first asking you if it’s OK. He must have said his goodbyes as you merrily skipped through the chat :(

You can plant money trees?!

Also, I think the algorithm or whatever it is for Bunny Day is off. It’s just silly now. Used a nook mikes ticket and went to an island where all I could farm were earth eggs, all I could fish were water eggs etc etc. And it all looks so ghastly.

I can understand the number of eggs because there are 40 or 50 recipes using them with only about a week to go before Bunny day. But I agree, its overkill and the stuff is mostly ghastly. Be careful visiting friends houses as you may find an unexpected Easter room and have to gouge out your eyes!

Find one of those glowing holes in the ground. Dig up a bag of bells. Either replant that one, or make a big of bells in your inventory (up to 10k) and then Bury in Hole. You now have a baby money tree that will grow and fruit once.

How does one do this? Why does everyone have better clothes than me?

Spoiler

When you find a shiny spot on the ground dig it up to find 1,000 bells. Before covering the hole again put up to 10k bells back in the hole. In a few days it will turn into a money tree with 3x times the money you put into the hole but it only has 'fruit' once. After you shake the money bags off it turns back into a normal tree.

Come to my town (Dodo Code FFH0L) or anyone else that has a tailor shop and spend some bells on new threads!

the egg thing is shit, its totally over the top and swamps the whole game and its appeal

I want to go on in the evening to stroll about and catch a few fish as the sun sets, not break rods hauling in eggs to make gaudy shite to impress a Donnie Darko ripoff rabbit.

Do they really only fruit once?! Dooooh! I've been marking mine with flowers so I don't chop them down. I thought it was quite generous!

Spoiler

No. They just take longer to reproduce bells than fruit trees do.

Shit. I think you are right.

How the hell do you hang KK sliders albums on the wall?

There is an option but no matter what I don it doesn't allow it.

Or more than 10k if you like to live on the edge. :sherlock:

Note: Conflicting Reports

There have been multiple reports of people planting bags of 99,999 bells and having a tree provide them triple returns. We have not been able to confirm this ourselves and thus don't recommend you give this a try, as it seems to be highly random.

Even Eurogamer hates it

One good point is how eggs clutter your inventory. I really feel for new players who will have like 6 slots of their 2 line inventory clogged up with different egg types!

The egg event definitely feels misjudged. I don't mind it too much, but I've also only been able to squeeze in a couple of hours of broken up gameplay each day this week rather than the absolute caning I was giving it launch week. I could see it being far more frustrating if I was trying to grind out Bells or something.

I hope in future events they'll make participation feel much less forced. I think something as simple as allowing you to trade whatever you find with the Bunny if you want to take part would have worked much better than the current implementation. So something like catch a sea bass, sell it OR trade it for a Water egg etc.
