I’m going to mortgage myself up to the hilt with several extensions and have a dedicated gym in my house.

There’s no mortgage, it would seem. You get improvements with Nook Miles, not money, so you can’t just fish your way to a bigger house - you have to earn miles from specific tasks.

Probably to stop your uber-rich mate just giving you a million bells.

I definitely saw a mortgage.

The game mostly looks great, but that ‘one island per Switch’ limit is mean as fuck from Nintendo. What about a family with multiple kids using the same Switch who want to play on their own islands? They can’t. Not everyone wants to share, and progress on an island between different accounts is going to lead to lots of arguments. Just let there be one island per user, with everyone on the console able to visit and contribute. This isn’t difficult. It just feels like an artificial limitation put on there solely to sell more Switches.

Honestly I’ve not been this excited about a game for years. I spent literally thousands of hours on New Leaf and this looks more of the same just bigger and better,

I can already foresee setting early alarms to get up and do bits and pieces, late nights awake while I try and catch nighttime only rare fish, that amazing feeling when youve paid a mortgage and you can’t wait for the next day to see what your house looks like,

My good lord I can’t wait for this!!!!!

There is a mortgage and there’s no cloud saves. Did you even watch it?

Decided on a physical copy. Anyone know of any half decent prices anywhere?

My son is due to be born at the end of March I am relying on this to be my go to game as I sit up with him throughout the night.  Really quite excited now.

£40.85 form Base is the cheapest I've seen. I've never used Base though.
