The 'Not So Famous Celebrity' Death Thread :(

Recommended Posts

Nic Roeg today :(

His influence on me could not be stated in words. I watched Performance when I'd only seen stuff like Back to the Future to date. It was like a hand grenade in my brain. I didn't know something could be that deconstructed and effortless when films cost so much.

Film used to be intrinsic to the national identity of Britain. Ealing comedies, Powell n Pressburger, Hitchcock. And Nic fucking Roeg.

British actor W.Morgan Sheppard.. Tons of TV, voice and film work over the years including multiple Trek roles & (fairly uniquely) several playing old/young versions of the same character with his son (Supernatural actor Mark Sheppard - most recently on Doctor Who.)

Excellent character actor Donald Moffat, who most memorably didn't want to spend the rest of the winter tied to a fucking couch, has died.

I also loved him as the president in Clear and Present Danger chewing out Jack Ryan with  “how dare you come in here and bark at me like some little junkyard dog!”. Pure Trump :(
