What a beautiful game!.. played through it in a single sitting last night. Utterly captivating and deserves to be held in the same regard as the likes of Journey.

A fantastic audio/visual experience.

Mate, you are a fantastic audio/visual experience!

OK. I've played the first hour or so. I know it's only meant to be about 3-4 hours long do I'm trying to pace myself. First things first, the visuals are stunning. There's a bit with a red sandstorm near the start which looks incredible. I've taken half a dozen screenshots already. And the music is fantastic. Strangely, it reminds me of Breath of the Wild: I think because it's stark and the volume changes based on the actions in screen.

It's easy to far. After nearly an hour it's introduced some new abilities and simple puzzles. I can see myself breezing through this without difficulty. But if it holds up, it'll be worth it for the experience.

Kinda like Journey, then.

I just started this and took that exact same screen shot. I'm not very far in (maybe 15mins) but so far I'm finding it so relaxing. The music is just washing over me, I keep getting goosebumps. Does it carry on like this?

Just finished it. Absolutely stunning from start to finish. I loved it. Been listening to soundtrack in between plays too because it just wonderful. When it ended, I just closed my eyes for a second, sighed and then a wave of goosebumps just came over me. Some games ay, they really hit you like no other

@Shoes you're completely right about the turtle and The Red Turtle comparison. I got that too.

Taken so many screenshots too cause of how amazing it looked.

It's a shame I didn't play this before GOTY voting ended cause it would be on there for me, especially the sound and visuals.

Started last night, finished it a few moments ago, roughly 3 hours ish, got lost in a few places, but mostly straight forward.

Art style and music are amazing, if this isn't at least on GB's "Style" section at GOTY time then there is something wrong with them.

I didn't find it fun as such to play though, the platforming and movement all worked well, I just wasn't sure why I was doing what I was doing, but still felt compelled to carry on and get it finished as I just loved the look and sound of it,, glad others have enjoyed it though.

I don't understand this criticism.

I don't think the actual mechanics and puzzles are exciting enough. It's all fairly pedestrian puzzle solving and a lot of it is just holding down forward and watching pretty things happen in the background. I did enjoy it for the visuals but not much beyond that.

This is magnificient and one of the most captivating experiences you will ever get from a video game. Period. Go get it, all.

Finished it. I don't even want to start comparing it to other games (as in "more stylish than xy" or so), because there isn't much out there to compare it with. And especially the last level/setting is mind blowingly beautiful and I truly hope the developers/designers will have a lot of success on their future projects.

This game is wonderful.

I've regularly been doing various belloc's "it's beautiful" while I've been playing it and it really is. Beautiful to look at, beautifully constructed, beautiful sound and beautiful feels even though it's what you bring to it yourself more than anything.

After playing so much generic shit (and yes, it's a 2d platformer, it's just like inside or we're over saturated with the genre, whatever blah blah) this has been a delightful breath of fresh air.

It's glorious and everyone should play it.

I started this last night and it's brilliant. Absolutely gorgeous to look at and the simple, untaxing gameplay is a great change of pace for me after having my brain melted by The Witness.

Perfect hung over Sunday gaming: unchallenging, relaxing, and beautiful.

I recently upgraded my PC to Windows 10 so I could finally play some Game pass games and this was first on the list.

I’m sat at my desk now watching the credits roll and feel pretty confident that this is one of the most beautiful games I’ve ever played. A lot of people said they got emotional after playing Journey but that left me cold. Despite this being the latest in a genre that’s ‘really not my thing’ it hit me right in the feels. Superb puzzles - at just the right level of difficulty and playing through is just so relaxing and pleasing. I also had the pleasure of playing with a decent set of headphones and the soundtrack is utterly incredible.

This would have been my goty 2019, had I played it 2 months ago. Wonderful stuff.

Edit: Just realised it came out in 2018!

Just finished this :) Oh my what a feel good game... loved every minute. Certainly takes your mind away from all the stuff that is happening in the world!

Lovely music and visuals... just sublime. Reminds me a bit of Journey because of the abstract nature of it all.

Definitely worth a play through if you are fan of abstract arty games.... One thing though if you grab the Switch version play it on the big screen. This game needs it IMHO. Played it on the PC (its with Game Pass at the moment.) Short game at around 3 or so hours but I think there is additional things to find so may have some replay value.

How odd, I've just finished it too! It is on sale I suppose.

Indeed. I recently re-subbed to Game Pass and downloaded it the other day. If you have GP it's a no brainier. Best £3.99 I've spent.... Stunning beautiful game. Really enjoyed the last stage too :)
