How did that work out for you?

 

Had son as Captain with Doherty as vice. Rubbish. Son comes on for 3 minutes and gets an assist! However others in my league also captained son or vardy so not bad

Ryan and Duffy join my team. Brighton get pumped 5-0. Also had Murray as captain. 

 

At least Ryan Fraser got a nice haul of points and Boly scored despite conceding 3

Captained Duffy and even though he shipped 5 he is on 0 which, when I consider that I captained Pogba earlier in the season when he missed a penalty and got a card ending up on -2, is a passable result given the horrendous scoreline.

80 points this week and up to 2nd. The dude above me is 10 points clear with 2 chips remaining. Confident of a top 3 finish but it'll be close. What a season.

Used my wildcard last week. Amongst others:

In: Ryan, Duffy, Murray

 

Captain: Son

Wondering what to do with Son. Not sure how much he will play in the league games.

Got over 100 points last week with the help of my bench boost. This week I'm already on 52 points from just 2 players (Captain Salah and Robbo). The person who briefly took first place from me in my work league has quickly been smashed back down.

I’m in 84 point from three players so far! Think that’s joint top overall! Salah (TC), Mane and Robertson. Pretty pleased with that!

Yep that’s the highest possible score so far this GW I think. I had Trent instead of Robertson but otherwise the same, so just a bit behind.

Same, then transferred him back out again for a 4pt hit. Had to pick between Wilson and Vardy - one had form, the other fixtures. Picked Vardy. Can’t see him matching Wilson’s haul today!

So congrats to Alex for winning the league by a mile! The next ten of us were all pretty close.

Yep, only really going to be one winner for quite a while. I snuck into third with a decent last few weeks but overall too many mistakes over the season to really threaten. Managed to buy or sell Salah and Wilson at the wrong time, pretty much every time.

Won my works league and the one I'm in with my mates. 

 

Not a great finish though. 18599th overall.

Cheers all! A good season. In descending order of importance, beat my older brother, won my work mini-league and just snuck inside the top 3K for overall ranking - 2945. 

 

Previous PB was 3194 a few years back - didn’t think I’d ever top that. All came down to a fantastic run after my first wildcard in GW15, where (with more than a little luck) I basically managed to get the new template team about 5 weeks earlier than anyone else, and went on a spree for 10GW or so. High watermark was OR 223 after GW 24.

 

I shall enjoy the break, but I’m still looking forward to monitoring pre-season games and griping about how much TAA is going to cost next year.

 

Oh, and get well soon FF Scout Joe. Their podcast was an essential part of my routine, and he was always the best thing on it.

just been taking a look at some selected prices, will be hard to get TAA and Robertson in at £7m a piece, most people ended up with both of them last season - could need midfield economies as sure they both outscored most midfielders at that price last year though.

Skeleton of a team created, mainly so I can be the first to get the team name "Let's talk about six" in my league at work!

The pricing of players this year is making it really hard to make a balanced team. I want a core of Kane/Stirling/Salah but it’s impossible to get an acceptable team to go with them.

 

Looks like switching around premium players is going to be even more important this year than it has been before.
