Another long term Salah captainer here. Glad it paid off alongside Sane/Aubameyang/Sterling under-performing, Kane on the bench and a bunch of Man U players no one really owns scoring all the goals for them.

 

I guess Kane could come off the bench and score a hat trick! Or Richiarlson may do the business tomorrow.

Well, that went well. 92pts, less a 4pt hit for swapping Duffy and Trippier for Doherty and Kolasinac (who got 15pts between them).

 

Felt like a very lucky week. I only had Salah because Mane was injured, and I wasn't expecting much from captaining him; prior tot this GW, he hasn't scored more than one goal in a match this season. Doherty and Digne both got goals in the 94th+ minute, and Digne only came into my first XI due to injury/rotation for Wilson and TAA.

 

Fairly sure it'll come crashing down soon, but enjoying riding the wave! Fixtures don't look so good next week, with double Merseyside-vs-Manchester fixtures, and Kane will be knackered from playing against Barcelona tonight.

I got him in with my GW15 wildcard, as I couldn’t afford Sterling and Salah, and Sane looked like he was quietly matching Sterling’s output. 8pts to Sane vs 2pts to Sterling since then, but it’ll take a bit longer to see how it pans out. Two goals in last night’s CL game, obviously!

 

It’s a Pep team so no-one’s nailed, but Sane seems to to be semi-assured while Mendy is injured, but much less likely to play once he’s fit.

Captained Sane this week with Salah as VC, so I’m now in the odd situation of hoping Sane gets Pepped!

 

Brought in Rashford for Wilson this week, which is a bit of a roll of the dice, but Man U’s fixtures are great, and he’s in fair form. Suspect Howe is going to manage Wilson’s time this weekend, perhaps open with King for 60 minutes or so.

At the start of the season, a group of players select PL players for their team. Each PL player can only get picked once, but can be traded during the season. I think it's very common for American Football seasons.

Also playing whack-a-mole with the captaincy. 

 

GW17 - give Kane the armband. He gets 5, Sane gets 10. 

GW18 - give Sane the armband. He blanks, Salah gets 12, Kane gets 15. 

GW18 - give Kane the armband. He gets 6, Salah gets 12. 

 

Not sure what to do with my 2FT this week. Definitely want Pogba, but toying with getting Hazard in for Salah too. Will wait to see how tonight’s game plays out.

I have Lossl (11pts after bonus) and Doherty (5) on mine. If Fabianski could come down with flu for a few days, that’d be great. Chuffed with Jiminez’s haul though, he’s got a fantastic record against the big six, so I didn’t bench him. 3bps despite his yellow. 

 

Got Pogba in for Sane this week, and after much deliberation gave him the armband. Hoping that Bournemouth will be even more of a defensive mess than they have been with Francis injured.

 

Salah has set the bar high, though!

TBH I swapped out Callum Wilson for Calvert-Lewin as I needed the money. I still subscribe to the idea that no player really owes you any more than 2 points although that's easier to swallow when you've paid under 7.0 for them. When you're looking at someone who cost over 9.0 I get why you'd expect more.

 

For the first time this season, my two dads Silvas complemented each other and came through with a goal ana an assist. That was the highlight of my game week other than maybe David Brooks extracting 5 points from a thrashing at the hands of Man U.

This thread got quiet!

 

How's everyone coping with the Kane/Son/TAA-pocalypse then? Wildcards and hits going off left and right based on social media.

 

I had Kane and TAA, but fortunately also had 2 FTs. I've shipped Kane for Aubameyang; I think Aguero would be a better option if he could be guaranteed to start, but the Pep Roulette seems worse than ever lately. I think I'm going to turn TAA into Lindelöf, and might join in the hit party to swap Redmond for Sane, as I've got sufficient cash-in-hand, and otherwise have no City cover for their next two plum fixtures.

 

Currently in the top 500 overall, but I don't think that'll last!
