Had Trippier on red and Maddison on yellow warnings.

Swapped out Trippier but didn't really need to as could have made a team up with who I had.  Now I've ended up benching two players that I'm not too happy to have benched and am also unsure if I'm playing the right keeper from the two I have...

Bring back the international break so I don't have to spend my Friday night overthinking FL and then fretting over it all weekend.

There's still 2 thirds of the season to go! Anything can happen!

Although, much as I love them, rolling out Brighton players away at Huddersfield may be a mistake. We have a terrible record against them and they're quietly doing quite well at the moment.

Forgot there's Friday Night Football so have just done 2 quick fire panic transfers without giving them much thought. Bet this will backfire.

Wilson to Zaha didn't work. Also swapped Barkley to Felipe Anderson so no doubt the former will get a hattrick.

Really happy I got Duffy and Sterling in.

Ha, I have Duffy sitting at the top of my bench like an unexploded bomb. Most of my first XI are nailed, but if Trippier or TAA don’t play, it’ll cost me 2 points!

Wildcarded this week, despite having 2FTs, as a) I’d been planning to do it around GW15 anyway, and b) I only had 8 fit players.

Went for big beasts, on the basis that it’s easier to trade down than trade up, so I have Kane and Salah. That didn’t leave enough for Sterling, but I figured that Sane has been matching him lately, and is probably as nailed as you can be in a Pep team as long as Mendy is injured. Realistically, I’m expecting Pep to rotate like nuts in December, and it’s less painful to see a £9.4m player get benched than an £11.5m one.

Anyway, decent night for me, other than the Duffy bomb - I have Wilson, Fraser, Sane and Fabianski (who saved a pen). Gutted when Cardiff scored, though.

My first transfer in the last 3 or 4 weeks saw me moving out Danny Ings and replacing him with Isaac Success to free up a bit of cash. Thrilling times!

Although I'm wondering if I shouldn't be looking at Florin Andone given he's played 2 games and scored twice. He's still favoured behind Glenn Murray though which is annoying as both a Brighton fan and a fantasy manager.

Doesn't that mean you've been letting transfers go to waste though? I can't imagine feeling so good about my team that I'd let a transfer pass me by (although I did burn 2FTs when I played my wildcard).

Yeah probably but I was relatively happy with what I had. Whilst I'm not top of the league, there's not a huge amount I'd change right now other than something like Fernandinho to Sterling maybe which I obviously can't afford and find another forward to replace Aguero. There is also the possiblility that I may just leave this year's wildcard. The only reason I have it is to firefight around Christmas.

No clean sheets in a gameweek for the first time since November 2010. Although I got one for Trippier, thanks to his timely substitution.

Reckon I’m heading for 90pts this week after BPs, so a pretty satisfying wildcard.

Need to replace Duffy, though. I was just sizing up Rob Holding for the job when he did his ligaments. It is sad hearing so many players getting injured, this ridiculous schedule at the coldest time of he year is utter madness, even if it does add a fun challenge to FPL.

You knocked it out of the park with your WC. I think that pushes you above me in to second. 90 with no clean sheets is just insane, even with the lucky Trippier sub.

Mine is activated now. Hopefully I'll piggyback over you next week.

Fortunately I've stuck by Salah but sadly didn't make him captain. Brought in Kane this week and made him captain, typically he's been benched. :hmm:

Salah as vice? Could be a tense match!

I captained Salah - brought him in with my wildcard because Mane was injured, figured I could trade Salah & Sane to Sterling and Mane in a few weeks. Was not previously of the opinion that he’s worth the extra over Mane this season, but I may need to re-evaluate that.

Sane gamble didn’t come off this week, but fingers crossed Sterling blanks too. Chuffed with Filipe Anderson’s haul, WHU’s festive fixtures are dreamy.
