When Mahrez does well I keep wondering why I don't have him. Then I am reminded of his price against his consistency.

 

Still don't know what to do about my forwards. Aguero stays but replacing Ings and Mitrovic is on the cards. It's just difficult to know who to replace them with. Jiminez and Arnautovic are out because tripling up on Wolves or West Ham seems a bit mad.

Nice problem to have! I’m keeping Fraser in, Man U are leaky these days, and Howe has a history of attacking against big clubs rather than trying to park the bus.

 

I’m playing 3-5-2, and benching Duffy, AWB and Ings, in that order.

Fraser is your classic 'never captain never bench' player.

My plan for the last few weeks has been to ditch Fraser the moment the fixtures turned. Which is right now. I even have two transfers to do some shimmying around should I wish to up or downgrade him. I was also hoping a similar priced player would come in to form at the time, and like a beacon of hope, Ross Barkley appears. One of the heroes of my 2k overall finish from a couple of years ago. And it looks like he might have claimed a starting place in the Chelsea first team.

 

So obviously I've thrown my plan completely out of the window and transferred out Mitrovic before his game against Huddersfiled and upgraded one of my 4.0 defenders to Mendy. I could have done many more sensible things with my transfer. Mane in for Hazard, switch Walker to Mendy, do the planned Fraser to Barkley. Switch Richarlison for Barkley and TAA for Rudiger. But no, now I'm playing 4-4-2 with double Liverpool and double City defence. And Liverpool are playing Arsenal.

 

I may very well be mad, and this may be the result of me being bored of playing safe all season, but I think It might work out if I have patience. This is definitely the time to ditch the third striker. There are only 4 strikers in the top 30 scoring players in the game. Four! That's crazy. So Mitrovic is gone because he's done nothing for weeks and Fulham look absolutely awful. Defenders are still scoring points all over the shop. Liverpool and City have the best defences in the league by far. Double double is definitely overkill, but I can easily swap any of them out if I need to.

 

This may be a case of right move wrong decision, and I don't think I would have done it without a wildcard left, but I'm willing to experiment for a few weeks.

 

Red arrows here we come?

Based on yesterday’s press conference, Hazard will only play 45 minutes tops. Aguero will presumably play his usual 60 minutes. Southampton’s defence is shitter than Crystal Palace’s.

 

I’m going with Aguero. Although if I was feeling fruity I’d go with a probably highly motivated Jamie Vardy against Cardiff.

I had 5 players blank and one get 0 (Ben Mee), but got 4pts from Trippier and 15 from Richarlison, so I’m sitting slightly above average. Plenty of people have triple Man City though, so I expect I’ll get left behind.

 

Funny old game, looked at last week’s fixtures and thought I’d get a crap score, got 68. Looked at this weeks and thought I’d be quids in, and it’s moderately custardy.

 

I decided to pick up a Brighton defender this week, given their good fixtures after the Everton game. Broke the habit of a lifetime and paid the extra 0.2 for Duffy over Dunk on account of his greater goal threat. Who scored for Brighton yesterday? Yup.

I had Danny Ings right at the bottom of my bench, but given as I’m the only person I know without a City defender, he basically got me 4pts anyway. Ta, Danny!

 

61pts in the end, better week than I’d expected. Vardy’s got to go, though. Don’t like the sound of Arnautovich’s knee, but do like the look of West Ham’s fixtures, so it’s him or Lacazette.

I always forget to sort my team out on a Friday having made my transfer on a Monday and I could have had another 10 points had I swapped De Bruyne out for Milner who was on my bench :doh: Well I brought in Mane to replace De Bruyne so hopefully a few points against Fulham next weekend.

 

Well I moved up a place anyway's thanks to my captain Aguero!

 

Going to switch my captain to Aubamayang now though as I can see him getting 1 or 2 against Wolves the weekend and hopefully Wilson will get a couple against Newcastle. Never know I might move up another place next weekend :0
