my only real dilemma now is whether or not to include Ings in a home game against Newcastle and have 3 up front. His inclusion comes at the expense of benching Fernandinho who had a good week last week but he is playing Spurs away.

The general rule of thumb of player selection hierarchy seems to suggest that you should pick players from teams playing at home over those playing away, but picking anyone from Southampton over Man City feels counter-intuitive.

That's interesting. They're playing West Ham at home so the odds should be in their favour but it's one of those I really can't call. I see Vardy as a bit like Mitrovic in that even if his team isn't doing well, he'll get on the scoresheet or at least close to it. And Maguire, Chilwell and Maddison are also decent.

I don't know why I'm offering an opinion on these things. I don't really know what I'm doing.

Haha.

I'm just going over weight Leicester with two players as they have a good run of fixtures. As do West Ham and Brighton. I'll switch my keeper for Brighton's keeps this week I think.

Tried to wildcard at the eleventh hour, built the perfect team with literally not a penny to spare, then realised I was an entire player short. Scrapped it and just swapped in Mane for Moura, and gave him the armband.

My changes would have included getting Robertson in for TAA, so feeling lucky right now. We’ll see if it lasts!

Big Twitter rumour is that Puel has dropped Vardy. I can only assume he wants a big payoff and a long holiday. If it’s true, I get Richarlison in, which isn’t bad.

Wildcard next week, perhaps.

...and my new signing Arnautovic is not involved today!

Are you serious ! Haha. @Azrael

Annoyed robertson didn't play. Neves from wolves comes off the bench and nets a total of 2. Why are wolves so shit now.

Happy mane got a brace and shares the 3 point bonus with Salah.

@Alexlotl mane captain? -___-;

Best one-minute-before-the-deadline transfer I ever made!

Sad to miss out on a clean sheet for TAA, but as I wasn’t expecting him to play at all, I’ll take those 2pts.

Sounds like Vardy will be coming off the bench in the second half, hopefully intent on showing Puel up.

I'm assuming that one of your defenders comes off the bench though to replace him? I'm not very clear on auto substitutions if a player is named in the team but is an unused sub. Who is your vice captain?

Players come off the bench in the priority order you’ve set, unless that would leave you with less than the minimum number in a given position (3 DEF, 3 MID, 1 FWD), in which case the highest priority player in that position comes on.

Thanks!

So for example, because I'm stupid, I have

1) Wan-Bissaka

2) Balbuena

3) Fernandinho

Robertson was on for me but didn't play so I can assume that I'll see Wan Bissaka come on with his -2 or whatever when Arsenal win 5-0 and if Hazard doesn't play as per unsubstantiated Talksport chat does that mean that Fernandinho comes on as a like for like position or does Balbuena come on changing my formation from 3-5-2 to 4-4-2? I'm assuming from your description that it's the latter?

I have Hazard as vice captain!

Trippier, Kante, and Tomkins on the bench.

Suspect they may all get rotated in as Robertson and Arnautovic haven't played and Hazard may also not play.

Annoyed with myself for not doing the Kante for a Watford player switch I had planned. Last minute Zaha out for Arnautovic change of mind.

AWB will come on for Robertson, Balbuena for Hazard. Better hope Fernandinho blanks!

With Hazard out, I get Richarlison off the bench, which isn’t bad. Reckon he might do something this week, to try and impress at Old Trafford. I was a bit worried about benching him, TBH.

Tell you after the deadline ;)

Noticed de bruyne started for city last night. Might be value in getting him in. .

I'm also tempted to bring back in Bernardo Silva. If i hadn't traded in him for Moura after a couple of weeks i would probably be top 500 !

What were they then?
