It's no good, nothing but Cardiacs is doing anything for me at the moment. It's like they've ruined all other bands for me.

Currently really into Guns. Wasn't sure at first but I'm loving it now. Cry Wet Dry Smile is brilliant.

I love the weird Peter Gunn-esque riff that first appears at 55 seconds in.

Poor Timmy. :(

Afternoon fellow Cardiacs fans. Bit of an update here:

http://www.progressiveears.org/forum/showthread.php/2640-Tim-Smith-(Cardiacs)-what-s-his-current-medical-status

If you read to the end Kavus Torabi says "Lots of cogs turning at the moment. Stuff will hopefully be resurfacing in the not too distant"

I really hope they release the concert footage and Garage Rehearsals.

Okay so it was posted in August last year but I just got myself a couple of bits in the shop. Will be nice to have a real copy of Pony by Spratley's Japs. Well, it'll be nice to have a real copy of any Cardiacs stuff generally.

After seeing my tasteful new On Land And In The Sea t-shirt, the gf expressed an interest in listening to the album. Two songs in, with a furrowed brow, she turns to me and says "it sounds like an explosion in a circus factory." I can't really argue with that but I don't think she meant it in the good way.

My gf described it as sounding like someone had thrown "A Chaos Grenade into the Eighties".

She didn't mean it in a good way either. Her loss!

I realised recently I need to get their really old stuff, as there's just as much gold to be had. I mean, working out how to play this sort of stuff must be hard enough, but writing it?
