I'm watching this again in its entirety to see when the word 'immersive' appears for the quiz. Ugh. I dozed off a couple of times, but it appears a little over the four minute mark during the Battlefield V segment. (thanks Blunt)

Couple of you score big points with 4 minutes as the answer, but @Jolly leads by 5 points, as he is the only one who gave three correct answers on top of that.

Looks like @Blunt takes the 20 points then. :)

Much as I'd like those 20 points, honesty compels me to point out that it's said for the first time around 4 mins in, when the two guys from DICE describe BFV as "the most complete and immersive Battlefield".

Cheers. I was planning to do a double-check tomorrow anyway with less alcohol in my blood, but this is much appreciated.

Yep.

If you count the start as the countdown from 20m in, there’s an “immersive” at around 24m...

EDIT: as for my predictions I think I only got the Klopp thing right. Sad face.

What I had in mind was the game itself, but I didn't word it that way, which is my mistake. So as much as I hated this segment, I think I have to award the points as we do have a title now.

Memo to self: write down gameplay reveals next time.

You surely have to give everyone a point? I totally thought you meant "five minutes of talking on stage, here's a video of how it'll play."

Easy Allies were getting shit in this thread earlier for dedicating more screen space to themselves rather than the conference itself, but at least they don't talk constantly over the conference. I'm watching the Giant Bomb coverage this morning (E3 HYPE) and they're shouting over everything to the point that nobody heard the BR announcement. I'm not even kidding, the stream audio is so low that we couldn't hear what the presenter was saying because Jeff thought it was more important to shout "SKATE" as loud as he could.

Well, their feature is called 'We talk over the... conference'.

The EA conference was predictably rubbish just like the last few. Even putting the sports games aside, it was both uninspiring and far too corporate. At least the worst is over, hopefully.

Wow, they actually think that they should be the focus of the stream and not the games. That's some collective ego. Giantbomb are 6 tiny boxes at the bottom of the screen.

Imagine the collective ego Giant Bomb must have to think that you'd rather hear them shout "SKATE!" than what new game (or mode) is announced. They've missed so much information because they're constantly shouting bad jokes over announcements.

I thought it was funny. I obviously don't watch their conference stream to hear actual announcements.

Watching people streaming themselves streaming conferences has always been a bit daft. I get it if you enjoy the hosts and want to go back and see their reactions after enjoying an uninterrupted stream yourself, but I want to form my own opinions first, not have random Americans blurting out whatever comes to mind two seconds into a debut trailer. ;)

Oh yeah, I don't either (because it's impossible to follow the conferences with the Giant Bomb stream), I just find it amusing how much the "collective ego" comment was liked when Giant Bomb are just as guilty of it.

I used to watch the press conferences on their own and then rewatch the commentary streams. Unfortunately, I just don't have the time these days so have to kill two birds with one stone despite the drawbacks.

Me too. I like the Easy Allies streams, as their reactions are normally as fun as the announcements. I'll then go and watch the vidoes I want of the games later. If I had sat through the EA stream just watching the conference, I would have fallen asleep

When the title was “unveiled” in such a limited fashion, I thought you’d had some insider gossip :-D

Yep that's my tactic too.. as you say it also helps having their reactions to focus on through the more bizarre or boring sections of conferences.. like most of EA's (particularly the C&C section).

There's absolutely no point in watching the conferences seriously and attentively. They're a largely tedious series of adverts broken up by occasionally interesting, exciting, ridiculous or bizarre things (EA is never interesting) that can make it fun to see live. Unless you are the kind of person who does that for adverts? It doesn't matter if you 'miss' a word here or there as anything important will be recapped anyway

I wouldn't watch them like that totally alien. I need that commentary for a bit of entertainment. Before those existed I would come on here to comment or read comments in threads like this while it was on, just the same really.

Hehe. Well, I do have some insider knowlegde, but none of it applied to EA.

The Easy Allies stream had them as 70% of the screen and a little box for the conference video. It's preposterous. GB did it right. GB didn't shit on everything for likes either.

Yeah, that it's not about ego at all and rather what their patrons wanted to see (they're mostly funded by Patreon).

I also love how Easy Allies have gone from "those GT shills that overreacted to Shenmue and FF7" to "shit on everything for likes". I'm not sure that Giant Bomb is a good example of something "not shitting on everything".

Huber was priceless during the C&C bit. That made the conference for me

The fact they had a vote to see if they were more important than the conference tells you a lot.

Yeah god forbid they consult with their community and ask them what kind of setup the actual audience prefers.
