2018 FIFA World Cup

The best is Kevin Kilbane, followed by Lawro. The rest are much of a muchness except for Hoddle and Keown who, if there is any justice in the world, will be getting their P45s any day now.

Pougatch is a better host than Lineker and the panel on ITV are generally better than the BBC too.

This was never likely to be a great game, to be fair. Russia primarily look to defend and Croatia - Argentina game aside, haven't set the tournament alight.

I thought something was suspicious when he didn’t even go for the ball when Russia scored.

This goal keeper has been paid off!

EDIT no he’s ok lol

Croatia going to need to have someone pretend to be a goalkeeper for a few minutes. Can't play on with a snapped hammy, surely? Although tbf I have been convinced playing football that I've done myself some serious damage, and then felt fine a minute later... bodies are weird.

Well in terms of how much energy has been expended, both these teams went to penalties before and at least extra time now, you'd hope that gives England a fitness edge at least.

How about ITV take pity on the country since their broadcasts are quantitatively worse than the BBCs? (4K snobs unite)

Except France are shit and Belgium just scraped past a shit Brazil side.

Both (comfortably) higher-ranked that the rest though so, by default, the winner of that game will be favourites (along with having had a tougher path the to final).

I'm wondering how a goalkeeper gets cramp.

staying still and not breathing will cause lactic acid to pool in muscles

Croatia manager won't know whether or not he can use his 4th sub now, just incase the keeper cramps up again.

He could be dehydrated too. Isn't it warm out there?

It is fairly warm, I think. It's just something I normally associate with outfielders.

And also me when I wake up some mornings.

Well it's not like he's had much to do until overstretching for that ball.

Is that the first ET goal this tournament?

It is I think, and at 1.94 it was also the most profitable.
