Well I cracked and sought this out. 

 

Holy goddamn shit. They nailed all of it(comparing to Morrison's run)

 

It had heart, it had humour, a decent budget and I'm just sat here agog thinking "Holy shit it's Doom patrol on my telly"

 

Fanboy hyperbole can be ignored btw.

Does he address the real world like he did in episode 2 in the comics too? I don't just mean the narration but the stuff that went beyond that like referring to Morrison and DC fanboys on Reddit directly to another character.

I haven't revisited the comics for a good few years but Grant breaks the 4th all the time and wrote himself into Animal man. 

 

So I think their just taking that ball and running with it. It really bloody works though.

The series prompted a reread of Morrison's run and I sat to down watch ep4 after just finishing reading all about the Decreator and Willoughby Kipling and there it all is right on my telly.

Grant Morrisons run on Doom Patrol is probably my favourite comics ever. And I loved it.

Show just gets better and better and they totally nailed how amazing Danny is.

Everything justs works so perfectly, how they pulled this off defies believe. I came off the back of watching the umbrella academy, which has similar themes, hoping to find something good to watch as I'd finished it up

 

This show destroys it.

 

When the hell is it gonna turn up on Netflix UK so I can start pestering everyone to watch it.

Ep11 again melds the main storyline with some truly emotional character development.

 

I just can't believe this show is so good. Every ep just continues to further convince me of its specialness.

a muscle man in a pair of leopard print speedos embracing an inflatable advertising man, I'd have laughed at you. But that's the genius of this show. 

 

I hope it becomes available over here so I can support it somehow. Also, how good is Diane Guerrero in this?

Shes amazingly good in this, probably the standout.

 

The show on the whole though is fantastic, there's just nothing else like it. It'd better get a renewal.

Took me a while till I recognised him as Riggsy from a couple of Capaldi Doctor Who episodes. He's been brilliant.

Yeah just thought in the early Eps he came across as the weakest actor. 

 

Diane Guerrero is the highlight though. She has blown me away.
