Jon Bernthal! Such a grunty man, it would be perfect... if he hadn't already done a stint as the Punisher.

To be fair, Bernthal is so goddamn perfect as the Punisher - as if the John Romita Jr. version has come to life - that it would have been a damn shame to see him as Wolverine instead. It's a good call, I agree with that, but Bernthal is the Punisher. I only wish the Netflix shows would be able to maintain a consistent high level of quality instead of being all over the place from one season or series to the next.

No way, he's way too tall to play Wolverine! That would be some kind of weird bizarro Wolverine  Dinklage is closer to what Wolverine actually looks like in the comics than Hemsworth

In that case Mark Wahlberg. He's buff and about three feet tall.

Wahlberg is 5' 8".

Love to post on a forum where that height is treated like he's fucking Tyrion when it's fucking three inches taller than myself. It's really cool, I'm laughing about it really.

You'd think this is a Dutch forum or something!

If he was shorter I'd suggest Steven Ogg for Wolverine as he's Canadian and has that angry gruff look to him.

I also used to think when watching Banshee that the main character in that would make a good Wolverine, probably because he was always beating the shit out of people.

The dude who plays Riggs in the Lethal Weapon series could do it.

There's been a few rumours of Jackman's Wolvering appearing in the MCU. Even Sebastian Stan got in on the act earlier this year at one of the Infinity War conventions (the title of the video is hugely misleading btw, as thats not quite what Sebastian says):

Who knows whats happening due to the whole Fox deal, as its still on-going, and likely wont be sorted for another year.

Jackman is whateverman, the most exciting thing about that whole deal is that there's a good chance that the Marvel movie division will get Dr Doom right. Just imagine, you thought Thanos was a good villain the MCU? He's NOTHING (*if* they get Doom right)

I know a lot of people here fall into the camp who think Jackman is too tall to play Wolverine, but it's worth remembering that although the Saturday morning cartoon and some level of 90's cool made Wolverine vaguely popular before that, he's played the character for 17 years and been the version that's bought most people into the X-Men franchise. For a lot of people, Jackman is Wolverine and I think that has a lot of power. Seeing him meet Tony Stark would be a pretty big deal for a lot of fans.

I'd be ok with an event that dragged Reynolds' Deadpool, Jackman's Wolverine, and maybe Fassbender's Magneto into the MCU.

Agree with that. Jackman as Wolverine equates to Reeve as Superman. Would also love to see Deadpool make an appearance, but only to see him testing Cap's patience. I haven't read a single comic, so have no idea if that's a thing, but it would be funny.

I'm just hoping they will conveniently ignore that Mads Mikkelsen has already appeared in the MCU and cast him as Dr. Doom anyway

Having phase 4 spend 10 years building up Doom as the big bad, all while the Marvel Cosmic Universe is slowly drip feeding rumours of a giant planet eating creature culminating in Skrullos and Hala getting chowed down on and some shiny dude heading toward Earth.

They could plant loads of hints about people around the world disappearing into the ground throughout the films, and then at the end of Phase 6 it's revealed that the Mole Man is behind everything.

They could cast him and then get him to wear a mask. That may help stop any audience confusion.

"The Hulk?...no? His name is,um, Steve and he really DOES have a condition."

The gray Hulk you see there actually went by 'Joe', he had a real job as an enforcer at a Las Vegas casino and everything. Nobody noticed.

Even without the mask, Victor's face is supposed to be burned and scarred. Cast Mads!
