like, I thought the same but the eshop won’t let me buy it as “it’s available to play on a device blah blah”.

i cannot get this sorted. Have removed my Jpn profile from my primary Switch, deleted the game but it still won’t let me buy it. Somehow my purchase on my Japanese account has become entangled with my UK acc. Even though my Japanese profile is gone, I can still download VR from the store (but it doesn’t show in my purchases (obvs) or my “redownload” list). Makes me a bit worried for when it inevitably disappears to buy etc.

Can you buy it on the website or doesn't it let you on there either?

You need to deregister the account from the Switch (i.e. remove it as the primary console of the account).

Login to your JP account, open the eShop, and look for this section and press the button:

Pretty sure I’ve done this.

But I’ve also deleted the Jpn prof from my main Switch and Switch Lite.

Reckon I need to re-add and go through the above again then?

Probably, yeah. Make sure it’s deregistered from both. I just did this and it worked fine for me and the game was available to purchase again.

Ok so ran through that on both machines and it still doesn’t give me the option to buy it.  :S

Irritating.

edit: ok I think I’m a plum. Though not helped by Nintendo. So I must have already bought it on my UK acc (LOL) BUT the “redownload” list on my Lite is different to what it is on my main Switch (I must have bought it on the Lite). Very odd. You’d think the lists would be the same. Nintendo eh?

Phantasy Star.

By far the best version available of a classic - in AGES mode you have dungeon maps, double movement speed, and quicker levelling.

It's the best 8 bit RPG.

I'd say the SMS Power 2.0 translation is better, and you can draw your own maps like nature intended.

It is the best 8-bit RPG though, by a long chalk. I just wish they'd retranslated it for the Ages release, it would be an instant purchase.

It's under £2! It's always worth supporting conversions that have some effort put into them, if it's a favourite game, even if you end up playing elsewhere through less paid-for routes.

Capcom Arcade Cabinet bundle is half price at £14.99 - probably gonna grab that.
I may also try Dusk Diver which is under a fiver.

Where did youo find that? I've been looking on the eshop online and can only see all the individual games for sale.
