I just got myself a OLED Switch. Any must haves from the eShop?

Honestly, where to start. It’s like buying a DVD player and asking if there are any decent films out there.

Have you ever owned a Switch before? What other games are you into?

Yes I’ve owned a switch but mainly played the AAA Nintendo titles (Zelda, Mario)

I’ve recently bought Luigi’s Mansion 3, Kirby’s forgotten land, super one more jump, bubble bobble 4 friends and boomerang fu.

Looking for some more arcade type of games like a decent shoot em up or rpg. But also enjoy Co op games with the Mrs.

Luigi’s Mansion 3 will look 😚👌 on the OLED, excellent choice! I think there’s a good reason Metroid Dread came out at the same time as the SWOLED, and it’s also one of the better titles on the system.

Nice one :)

For co-op with the Mrs, Good Job is lovely and exclusive to the Switch eShop. So much fun in co-op, easy to play, and very amusing.

Thanks Popo. Will probably exchange LM3 for MD once we’ve completed it 😊👍

I bought Alien Isolation in the sale recently and finally started it a couple of nights back - OLED Switch, dark room, headphones etc. Christ on crutches. I’d heard it was a sound port but words don’t do the experience justice, it looks properly stunning to me. Really enjoying it so far albeit tempered by a feeling that I expect it to be too much for me once it hits its stride.

I can’t believe how old it is either - 2014 or thereabouts? I think it was a PS360 release originally. I am aged.

Just popping in from the Deck thread - people who dig platformers should give Lunistice a go, it's very good. There's a demo on the eShop and about a fiver for the full thing.

Yeah, I bought this earlier today. Best 3D platformer in a good while.

Looks good, cheers! Is there any benefit to the Deck version or is it 60fps on the Switch?

What’s everyone’s thoughts on the Ninja Saviours / Warriors game?

And does it have the awesome theme from the original?!

It’s a cracking game. It’s based on the Snes version of the game which was already way better than the (fairly limited) arcade version. Not sure if Daddy Mulk is in there, think it may be an unlockable. edit: see vid, it’s in there.

It’s well worth £8.50 it’s currently on sale for.

Awesome thanks, I’ll pick it up. I love all these throwback (boomer?) arcade games. I don’t think I’ve played the Snes game, but the arcade (and C64) version was fun back in the day.

When I heard the theme tune in Taiko No Tatsujin, it brought back so many memories!

Check out Wild Guns Reloaded too. I think it’s the same team who did Ninja Warriors. They’ve done the same thing, taken the Snes game and improved it. Really nice.

re Daddy Mulk, it’s an all timer. Remember hearing it on a tape attached to a mag back in the day. Probs C+VG.

Absolutely this.

Which reminds me I've bought both and should really play them :D
