OK great, is that usual though to have the embargo after the release date?

I've seen it on occasions, there is no rhyme nor reason to it. So not a sign on a bad game by any stretch if you are worried about that.

Of course it could be a typo in the email they sent me.

That makes more sense.

Have you had any chance to try it yet? Able to give any initial thoughts or cryptic impressions ;)

I have and I cannot say whether I really bloody like it... or not.

Indeed; it would be great to validate my Murder by Numbers pre-order by knowing somebody in the know really bloody liked it or not.

Given that @moosegrinder will probably start playing it four days late, as well. He has no idea what the date is.

Rune Factory 4 consumed me for ages back on the 3ds. Great game, I liked it much better than Stardew Valley which is the closest comparison in that genre.

The dungeoneering aspect is so much more involving that stardew, kind of like a Japanese Diablo-lite in some respects.

Has anyone played Akane? I see its on sale again. Reviews, when it came out, seemed to suggest it has potential but a tad underdeveloped with some frame rate issues.

How much is it?  I can see it's £4 on Steam and everyone absolutely adores it...currently sits at 97% 'overwhelmingly positive' reviews.  Just that it's a little slight.

Any recommendations for lesser known pick up and play eshop games that aren't old arcade games running on emulators?

I see stuff like Habroxia, Full Blast, Aqua Kitty, Blue Rider etc going for buttons regularly but it's hard to know if they're worth it since they don't get many reviews and the ones they do get often seem to be people who aren't really into shooting/action games in general.

Also interested in any non-metroidvania platformers. I'm considering Venture Kid since it looks like a decent mega man clone. Oniken maybe too, but that's a bit pricier..

Also like the look of The Bug Butcher, which seems to be a Pang type game.

I know these games are a couple of pounds each but I don't want to stock up on a bunch of garbage either.

What are the dirt cheap eshop gems (if there are any, maybe they're dirt cheap for a reason...). I want things that you can turn on and immediately enjoy for a few minutes, with replayability.

I have it.  It's fun at first but expects you to invest too much time on each play to progress through the unlockables. Spent a few hours with it so well worth a quid .

OK thanks, think I'll give it a go while I patiently wait for Murder by Numbers :)

Graceful Explosion Machine? Great little game.

The devs new game is a run-and-gun platformer called Super Crush KO which looks terrific. I’m just waiting for a sale before I get it.

Well, the embargo has been bought forward to 4PM tomorrow. So you'll be able to find out 22 hours sooner.

Has anyone played Element on Switch? Any good?

I've been watching hoping it would go on sale for ages, but it doesn't look like it's going to...so wondering if I just need to bite the bullet at full price....which is only a tenner still but.....

Wait! I thought it was out tomorrow and Google seems to agree. What the what?

It's out on the 6th on PC and the embargo was originally to cover that. They have since been changed to coincide with the Switch release.

This upcoming (3rd April) Twin-Stick Shooter HyperParasite looks decent:

It will be £13.99, but there is a pre-order and further discount for anyone which has any other QubicGames purchases.

I can't find the game via the website eShop to see if the discounts are showing. Maybe its viewable via the consoles eShop, but I'm not near mine atm to check.
