So apparently it's Honk day and Link day but for some crazy reason I decided to buy the Switch version of Lee Carvellos Putting Challenge, in my defence it was only £1.88 so I feel I've had my moneys worth after half an hour.

Edit: I didn't see @acidbearboy post before I posted that.

Both Guacamelee games are on sale. The first one, in particular, is great.

I've been playing guacamelee super turbo edition on pc.  Is 2 a separate game as I thought the turbo edition was both games for some reason?

Yes, what a week. Puzzle Quest on Switch. That's at least 80 hours right there.

Plus Rime is £9. Did they ever iron out the framerate on this?

Apparently it’s improved significantly from the initial release but it’s still entirely conspicuous.

Didn’t stop me playing through it at a canter, loving it and crying a bit at the end. It was lovely.

Now that Borderlands 3 is out do you think we will see a Borderlands 2 ultimate edition for switch. I know there was a rumour but I can't seem to find anything saying definitely saying yes.

Had a quick go of a single race and it feels decent. Will take a while to get used to the Switch controls for a racing game, but yeah, good initial impressions.

Edit: Also, I think I'lol just keep the standard version and save 2-3gb of space. The side by side here doesn't seem that much improved (I am struggling to see any difference) that it will worry me, especially in handheld.

How does Grid play without analogue triggers, I was looking at the trailer and it looks great but that was the issue that put me off.

Does it use buttons or the other analogue stick to accelerate and brake? I never really got to grips with the stick method.

Can use the shoulder buttons still, but you kind of have to get used to it being digital input. You can use stick, but like you I cannot get used to that.

Anyone played Golazo!

Looking for footy type game with 4 player local play (or any other similar game)

I picked it up on release. It’s fun but pretty limited, with a loose interpretation of football. The main mechanic is the sliding tackle and the jump (to avoid sliding tackle) which you can’t get penalised for which (except in the penalty area). Scoring goals is pretty easy and you will succeed with 50% of shots (probably more) if you give it a good smack.

I just bought an eshop card from cdkeys, but when I redeem the code it says it's for the wrong region. Annoying as the 12 month voucher I got earlier worked fine.

Is there any way to use it or have I just wasted my money?

Complain to CDKeys?

Thanks, have done both of these things!

The code did work from an alternative account and the games appear to work on my main one. Seems weirdly backwards but at least I know now!

Just seen the trailer for Tangle Tower which is on Apple Arcade now,

but coming soon to Switch.

A detective / puzzle game, I am all over that when it releases. Want to see more like it too.

Would love for all the old Layton games to get ported.

Has anybody played Billiard from D3 Publisher? It’s £1.88 at the moment and I like a good game of pool.

Also, what’s Deer God like? Looks nice. Worth a punt at under £2?

I bought this and can confirm it’s worth a couple of quid. A bit bare bones but gameplay is solid enough.

Just a heads up that Gothic Point and Click game Goetia is currently 80p or something daft.

Looked interesting so gave it a go as it’s also part of the Square Enix collective. Great graphics, great sound, really good atmosphere. Chilled out and played a few hrs of it yesterday and really enjoyed it. Apparently there’s 20hrs of gameplay too. Only downside is it really needs to be played docked as some of the text is hard to read in handheld mode.

@Rex Grossman That's almost impossible to answer, honestly. Hollow Knight, This War of Mine, Final Fantasy XII, Valkyria Chronicles 4, Yoku's Island Express and Joe Dever's Lone Wolf are a handful of very high quality games with the deepest discounts. There are loads more amazing games with smaller discounts that will probably be cheaper in future.

I'm tempted by Darkwood, Slay the Spire, Final Fantasy IX and Transistor, but Ori and the Blind Forest and four fucking Dragon Quests are coming out tomorrow.
