Thanks! Looks like it is, but it won't let me read it :lol: It acknowledges that I'm a subscriber but the only option at the moment for me is to buy it. I'm guessing it's still processing the arduous upload and it will be available for me shortly. No hurry tbh, I won't be able to sit down and read it until tonight anyway :)

This happens quite often, where it appears in the store, but can be almost a day before it finally ends up downloading if you subscribe. All in all it is a bit of a mess and the sole reason I want to pick up an iPad instead, as I get a few magazines digitally now.

 

 I also subscribe to GamesTM and that never seems to be late, so whoever deals with that, they should let them sort Edge out as well!

I don't like iOS and I'm invested in Google Play Books as my default all things e-reader, so that's not an option for me. I don't want to go back to print either, so I'm hoping they'll sort it out.

By contrast, both the Official Playstation Magazine and Total Film are out now in newsagents, but not on Google Play or Readly. So best keep whoever's doing those two away from Edge...

 

(It's going to be all the same people, isn't it?)

You'd think digital would be way easier (not to mention cheaper) to distribute than print, which needs actual physical copies transported to all corners of the world with lots of companies and people being involved in the process before it ends up in the hands of the consumer. And yet, uploading a pdf is where things go wrong.

Back in the year 2001 I spent 9 months in Australia.  I travelled a lot but spent around 3 months in a very small town in the North West of the country (Broome).  It is a very remote town where the daily newspapers were flown in each day from  Perth (I believe).  I was living in a tent on a shoestring budget and spent most days on the beach.  I managed to find Edge in a small newsagent for around £15 an issue (so worth it) that were also 2-3 months behind.  I was a subscriber and devout follower of Edge back then (still a fan today) and loved finding a copy on (almost) the opposite side of the globe.  It also made me smile that the copies were printed about 2 miles from my home in the West Midlands back then!

 

I ended up reading each issue cover to cover and decided to pick up a Purple Gamecube on my homeward journey just to play Super Moneyball and Luigi's Mansion.  Result!
