Bayonetta 3 - Announced for Switch

Bayonetta 2 was one of the few games that made me want to buy a Wii U (along with The Wonderful 101, but I never did :(), but now that I own a Switch I can finally play it and then Bayonetta 3. :)

(I just finished Bayonetta via BC on the Xbone and whilst it was mostly fun, Infinite Climax mode with its removal of Witch Time was nowhere near as fun as playing on Normal and Hard, so I have no urge to play through it again. I basically ground my way through via copious use of lollipops and checkpoints, so I'm hoping that the sequels have no stupid ultra hard modes in them where the game removes the most fun/interesting mechanic for the sake of a greater challenge).

I love Bayonetta 1. 2 felt like a let down. More of a focus on the barmy QTE style encounters than the meat of the fighting mechanics. I didn’t actually finish it. And Bayonetta 1 one Wii U had more performance problems than on 360.

I’ll definitely pick up 3 but now that I’ve got Bayo 1 on PC I’m not too sure about getting the 1&2 bundle.

1 is perfectly suited to handheld play. I'll buy that again at any price.

As for the third game I really hope Kamiya is directing. The second game had enemies which were far too limited in manipulation (Sloth. Fuck off.) and began to break down in all the wrong ways once you thought you were getting places with the combo and scoring system. :( Without a huge rejig Umbran Climax needs to go.

This reminds me of videos of Xenoblade, I have no fucking idea what is going on and so don’t feel at all compelled to find out more.

I played through the second one. You sort of just twat the buttons and counter and pretty things happen on screen. I knew I wasn’t playing it right but it was a pleasant enough way to spend 10 or so hours.

You may be interested to know that hair grows over time. It's a natural process.

Uh, hair growth is most certainly not a natural process when it comes to Bayonetta. More like super- natural...
