Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom - 2018

Looks like a lot of it is from Jeff’s cameo, and a volcanic eruption on Isla Nublar. Obviously a sprinkling of other tidbits but mostly one of the action set-pieces (as @papalasarou says, all footage is similar to the behind-the-scenes video)

I look forward to the third act’s dinosaur song and dance number.

The trailer re-used so much from JW, but with a volcano and a Goldblum cameo. Also Pratt's character comes off as a bit of a prick. Not hyped.

This is literally all I need to confirm that this film is in fact going to be awesome.

It's like when Peter Bradshaw gives something 1* in The Guardian.

Imagine if 90% of the film is a courtroom drama with Goldblum.

Would watch.

Judge: Tell us about the dinosaurs.

Ian Malcolm: You wanna know about the dinosaurs?! I'm not going to tell you about the dinosaurs.

Judge: You'll be found in contempt of court.

Ian Malcolm: YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TOOTH(S)!!

Oh dear...

Looks like a Lost World remake so spoiler alert, humans are awful and we are the bad guys ending incoming.

If it's Dino related, I wouldn't mind seeing a decent Land That Time Forgot remake. There's plenty of source material about to make a decent dino film without bleeding dry the idea of building/destroying a park then going back; how many times is it now, 4?

Gotta love them crowbarring in the ‘life finds a way’ stuff, trying to add some philosophical thinking into it, when it’s actually just two hours of people running from CGI dinosaurs

They’ve also used it as the tagline.

Think they should just rename it Jeff Park and have cloned Ian Malcolms running amok.

Just rewatched it and it's kind of annoying me.

Spoiler

The shot with Toby Jones names the new dinosaur as an 'Indoraptor'. So, it's the same as the last "new" dinosaur but smaller. Come on, guys. Once you started down the route of making new dinosaurs you could have made anything at all, don't just stick to variants of the same one over and over.

Also, why,  given the advances in SFX does the call back shot - the raptor claw click - look SO shit when compared to the original Jurassic Park? Purely because this is CGI and it was practical?

I read this the other day courtesy of someone else here:

Interesting that that article mentioned Netflix's Stranger Things as the scene in the kids room with Chris Pratt brought that show to mind, although I think the wallpaper and the lighting had something to do with that although I'm not entirely sure how the two link in my mind.
