Turning our work into Prints

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone,

I've had an increasing number of people approach me about purchasing prints of my paintings and drawings. Anyone on here sell prints of their work?

How do you go about doing it? Any websites you can recommend. A lot of my paintings are larger than the average scanner so I'd imagine I have to take photos and edit them in photoshop?

Any advice or guidance would be much appreciated!

Cheers :)

I've sold a fair few through www.photo4me.com

Just up load the image to your portfolio and then set the % you want from the sale and sit back. they do all the printing and framing. then 28 days later you get your cut of the deal.

Now the down side is you're not getting a huge pay out (I make £25 per picture) but they do all the leg work getting the picture to the client. also they can be quite picky about quality and subject matter. You need model release forms and accreditation for sports events. No national trust pictures and the legally dodgy images obviously.

But as I say it take the hassle out of things. you get a link you can give people to direct them to your pictures and you can get the odd drive by sale.
