if the price is $30 then that will have come from zombie Atari being the publishers. One thing Llamasoft always do is charge a decent budget price for their stuff even below what they should've charge (Space Giraffe being £3.40 on release for instance!)

See here from Jeff it is zombie Atari not releasing it, it is out of their hands

And see replies there seems that zombie Atari did not want the VR option (I know they had it working at one stage). fuirther reading on yakyak confirms VR was working on PSVR and a version on Rift but Atari wanted all versions to be the same with maybe possibly upgrading later (for a fee dlc?)

Some purchased it and have it and are playing it so it does exist!

Yep... Wonder why it has been pulled already? I know there is a XBO version (that isn't currently finished). So maybe publishers are waiting to align the release.

Prices do seem all over the fucking shop from my brief experience of this gen, it's like nobody can really decide on what to charge for a game on release. T4K is 30 quid. Hellblade was 21 quid. Nier Automata: Become As Gods Edition is 40 quid. And Onrush is still an eyewatering 55 quid. Hellblade I bought instantly (I even preordered it, which is like totally unheard of for me), Nier is tempting, whereas T4K and Onrush I wouldn't even think about considering unless they were half the price they're up at.

This is out for digital purchase. £23.99 on Xbox, or a quid more at £24.99 on PS4 for some reason:

edit: And the same on Steam, albeit without a price or ability to purchase yet

£24 quid.

Shouldn't it be about £10.99?

How else are a group of litigious people pretending to be a games company supposed to get a hefty payday? I have to wonder if T4K is being sent out to die at this price.

I'm wondering that too, if a decent amount of the proceeds go to Minter I'd be happy to buy it again on Steam even though I fully rinsed TxK on release. Otherwise I might as well wait for a sale since there's hardly a shortage of other stuff to be playing.

Didn't TxK on Vita launch at something crazy like £5.49? Very generous considering how much game you got for the asking price. :)

I look to have picked it up for £3.49, on release. Weren't they doing a thing with Vita games for a while where they had decent reductions for the first few days of going on sale?

PC issues are surrounding 144hz monitors as frame rate is locked 60 so if it is forced upto 144 it goes haywire. Also no options to change anything so fixed resolution no windowed options and vsync locked on.

so no major bugs as long as palying in 60hz at 16:9 fullscreen

It saddens me a little that no one is talking about this. It doesn't surprise me though given the price!

Anyone picked this up?

Yep, loving it. I’m not great - only up to Level 30 or so. Didn’t have a Vita, so it’s been a loooooong wait since Tempest 2000 and X3.

Yep. Loving it.

For anyone that may have missed it, pressing Y button (Xbox) on level select screen toggles through Tempest 4000 soundtrack, Tempest 2000 soundtrack and TxK (?) soundtrack.
