Ant-Man and The Wasp - July 2018

Recommended Posts

I thoroughly enjoyed Ant-Man, more than Age of Ultron. Shooting is about to kick off and the cast - both new and old, took to the SDCC to make some announcements.

Joining a returning Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly and Michael Douglas, we have Walter Goggins, Michelle Pfeiffer, Hannah John-Kamen and Laurrence Fishburne.

Who some of them will be playing -

Spoiler

Marvel Studios announced today at Comic-Con that legendary actors Michelle Pfeiffer (Dangerous Minds, The Wizard of Lies) and Laurence Fishburne (The Matrix trilogy, John Wick 2) have joined the cast of Ant-Man and the Wasp! Pfieffer will portray Janet Van Dyne, the wife of Michael Douglas’s Hank Pym and the original Wasp. Fishburne will play Dr. Bill Foster, who in the comics is an assistant to both Tony Stark and Hank Pym and who eventually takes on Pym’s Giant Man abilities and becomes known as Goliath. Walton Goggins was also confirmed, playing Sonny Burch who is more typically found in the Iron Man books. He's the head of Cross Technologies.

What about the Russian hacker guy in Antman who was also the firing squad guy in The Dark Knight?

Nolan's films aren't part of the current DCCU, the same as Deadpool isn't part of the MCU.

Janet Van Dyne is being played by Michelle Pfeiffer (!), Who also played undoubtedly the best Cat-Woman in cinema history.

I'd have said still not DCCU, except Alfred's  mechanical penguin comment in the new Justice League trailer now makes Batman Returns part of the DCCU?

People seems to get really confused with this but the MCU started with Iron Man, DCEU started with MOS. Everything before and X Men characters might technically be a DC or Marvel property but since the "Universes" were established, Fishburne is the only one.

But Lego Batman clearly links to Batman Vs Superman it is directly related, obviously making it part of the DCCU. It also has every other live action Batman in it. Making even Adam West Batman part of the DCCU. Also ties in characters only found in the animated series.

These days it's Marvel Marvel, Fox Marvel and DC
