The latter I think. Not that I am not surprised by the (sudden) interest from the media, especially the three part documentary done by NoClip, but I am not complaining. Heck, the more coverage the better, it truly is a fantastic MMORPG and the best one on PS4 by a landslide*

*I have not played Elder Scrolls Online.

Good score for Nex Machina, I don't really like stuff like Dead Nation or Alien Nation but this looks more like a proper old school shoot em up Robotron style. Might give it a whirl.

I think the dude what made robotron was actually part of the team making on nex kachina

Yeah, Eugene Jarvis, that's what peaked my interest ;)

I have it on PC and think it is the dog's bollocks. but maybe it is just the nostalgia for robotron and smash TV talking :D

Big fan of those myself. One of the things I don't particularly like about Housemarque's Nation games is the weapons progression system, but I believe they've done away with it for Nex Machina and opted for a more traditional power up approach. If that's the case count me in!

It's a lot more like Resogun than Alienation, at least in terms of being pure arcade high score stuff and no rpg. It's fantastic - get it.

Overall real terrible month for games don't you think? its been a spoil of riches this year so we probably needed a shitty summer to catch up.

No. Nex Machina is one of the best games of the year.

Valkyria Revolution is getting panned across the board, which is surprising, seeing how well Chronicles was received.

It's not really that surprising, seeing as from the very first trailer it was clear they were making a game that bore no resemblance to the Chronicles games :(

Hence why it isn't called a Chronicles game, it just shares the general setting, plus a completely different developer.
