Monkey Target...

3140 with no wheel of danger is my best. It would be super if I was any good at picking up loads of bananas while flying.

You just need to practice landing on the tiny 500 platforms - make sure you're flying towards them with a direct headwind (the wind blowing right against you) and try to make as slow and smooth a descent as possible.

A little over 4500 I remember. I would check exactly but I lent my copy of Monkey Ball to a friend to take back to Uni for this term. He's in a house with a Gamecube but no Monkey Ball PLUS his brothers have lost his copy. In this case I thought it was appropriate to apply 'the greatest happiness for the greatest number' and deprive myself so he and his housemates can play it (around the clock)!

about 5000

I am your god....

no wait, stop, i lied. My best score is actually about 650ish, only got the game a few weeks ago (+ i am horrendous at landing on these teeny weeny platforms) but you wouldn't have known if i was lying or not.

That is why highscore threads are lame without picture evidence.

I've lost the save files for my previous scores, I'm doubly gutted as I just had a few goes and managed to get 6900 but that included one round with a 14mph wind and a '3x' and I fucking dropped the ball too early on the 500platform and it caught the front edge and fell into the water :)

What're the lowest winds people have managed to land the 500 with no brake or magnet ball? I just did a 6mph which I think is my best.

7870. Me and a friend got a bit obsessed with it.

I've seen someone do a 500 target with a 7mph and my personal best is 10, 6mph is pretty impressive!

I've started always going for a double or triple score rather than magnet or brake. Even if you get a double socre and end up landing on a 200 or 300 target it's still more or less the same as if you'd got a magnet and landed on the 500, and there's always the chance you'll get a good wind and end up with 1000.

Just to add to what insin said about 500 targets, try to get really high up before you turn into the wind, then slow yourself down to the point where the speech bubble with "I'm falling!" in it comes up. You usually need to be going at under 30 mph to land on a 500 target and not fall off the other side. Also go for the 300 target on the pyramid round at first as it's easier to land on, and it's fairly easy to get a double or triple score on the previous round.

yeah, always go for multipliers for every round.

I've been close to landing 4and 5mph winds, I go high and as you get close to the target pull right back, and keep it held back way beyond the 'help I'm falling' warning and if you started high enough the target will disappear off the bottom of the screen, when you feel the times right just drop out the sky to land on it, as you fall the wind continues to affect your ball so by the time you hit the platform you can be at a dead stop, or even get blown back off the front which is my particular favourite :(:P
