Chris Eubank jr vs Conor Benn.   What a daft fight.  I get they can sell it, shit, their dad's names are on the promotional image but Eubank Jr is a middleweight who fights up at 168 sometimes, Benn is a welterweight.  I know they'll say "catchweight" or something, but Benn is gonna be giving up a lot here.

He'll stay retired until the WBC ask him to vacate, then he'll come back.   I think he needs to fight the winner of Usyk - AJ to complete his legacy of being the best heavyweight in the division.  They fight in about a week so Fury isn't going to do anything legally until he's seen that play out, surely?

Didn't he say he was going to "come back" from retirement a week or so back. I can't keep up with him. He has retired now more than Floyd did.

He has vacated the belt.

If Uysk wins he stays retired. If AJ wins he will come back.

That's my guess.

I've seen bullshit social media posts quoting him saying he'll fight for free on terrestrial TV against whoever wins.

I call bullshit on that.

So who's looking forward to the fight on Saturday? You got a bet on?

I can't wait. Its the only thing I have been excited for this year.

I’m really intrigued by whether Joshua can make the necessary adjustments, or whether he gets outboxed again.

Will probably stick a couple of quid on Usyk by decision.

The best version of Usyk beats the best version of Joshua.  I felt before the first fight that AJ just overwhelms Usyk physically so boxing ability doesn’t really factor and Usyk demonstrated that wasn’t the case at all.

Question is has the turbulence in Ukraine disrupted Usyk’s preparation? I really hope not because he seems like an awesome guy and he’s a hell of a fighter.  I’d love to see him against Fury.   I’d love to see both of these guys fight Fury before they all retire.

About three or four years ago, I thought AJ might have a reasonable chance against Fury, but having seen their last few fights, I honestly don’t think he’d make a dent in him. I’d have him as the underdog against Usyk too.

Can't see AJ winning this or against Wilder for that fact, he's the modern day Bruno, big puncher but he has little to no head movement and will get caught.

Really looking forward to it though.

He's miles better than Bruno. Bruno was terrible, but loved.

People don't give AJ enough credit. He's a good fighter.

Think I've said similar in this thread, I suspect Joshua is a little bit better than Bruno but he's definitely in that camp for me of a decent fighter who has been brilliantly managed to a financial level well beyond his ability merited.

I've never taken to him as a person either, he feels very stage managed and media trained. Fine if your aim is to wring every penny out of your career, more power to him.

It's that slick controlled package all set out to minimus the losses (cos they know he's not that good really), it's why this fight is so key as if he manages to win the gravy train can be kept going for a couple more rounds, but a loss again is catastrophic to this bloke.

Yeah, he’s a good fighter. I just think he needs to stick to his strengths and not try and be something he’s not.

Apparently this is streamed free on Usyk’s YouTube channel, for those in Ukraine (handy if you’ve a VPN 👀).

thank you. Really looking forward to this. Only thing that’s a shame is the location but at least it’s not a Vegas fight at 4am

I was planning to buy the pay per view, but I don’t have sky or Now Tv and it appears the only way I can watch it is by buying it on my laptop or tablet. But I want to watch it on my tv

Does anyone have any other suggestions? I have an Nvidia Shield but I can’t get it on that either, cheers.

also, predictions?

Watch it down the pub?

Usyk will win.  Can't see how AJ wins on points, and I'm not sure he's got the power to stop Usyk with a single shot.  AJ tends to win by KO on volume and combos and I can't see how either of them will work tonight.   Usyk either wide points or by stoppage in the second half of the fight if AJ loses his spirit.
