It worked! Three years free(ish) new games for £113. :sealclap:

3 years of great indie games, lots of third party games and EVERY first party game MS will release (most of which will be cross-save across to PC).  Amazing value.

Are there any decent strategy games on Gamepass for PC? preferably turn based, since I'll be using a trackpad...

Yes, loads actually. in addition to the above:

turn based:

wargroove

age of wonders planetfall

Operencia: the stolen sun

pausable:

imperator: rome

frostpunk

real time:

Age of empires II: definitive edition

Mutant year zero is my personal favorite of the lot.

As mentioned, Into the Breach is fabulous and works perfectly fine with a trackpad as it’s turn based.

And of course Age of Empires 4 on the way.

Thanks @jonamok for mentioning this to me!

My Xbox Live Gold subscription expired today and I've just done the 3 year Ultimate boost until Jan 23 :D

Slight squeaky bum after clicking the £1 offer as it told me it would be £10.99 for 3-month (I was worried as I had previously redeemed a free code for a month trial but never used it), but after changing the plan back down to the £1 for a month deal it worked fine and my account is showing as active until the expiry date. Bargain!

FYI all three of my CDKeys EU year membership codes worked exactly as expected.

Not only can you get gamepass cheap but it also has games to play right now. 76 of the best.

also Rage 2

edit: oh snap I didn't realise Skatbird had come out

edit: Skatebird rather, although hitting a phat gap and jobbying on someone below would reinvigorate the forumula a bit.

Children of Morta has been added to Game Pass today, Keep an eye out for an announcement later since we're half way through the month with some more new additions.

I had a feeling this was on the way as it is on xcloud beta. I really enjoyed what I played of it on that and it will be interesting to see how it compares being played locally.

A few 'big' games leaving this month:

Resi 4

The division (again)

tomb raider

shadow of mordor

saints row the third

I think we'll see resi 2 fairly soon so resi 4 leaving makes sense. Ubi's games seem to cycle frequently so nothing of note there. None of those are game breakers for me but I might give Tomb raider another go and shadow of mordor a look.

Started this on PS4 and early impressions were very positive. Glad more will get to play it.
