Letting your staff do a lot of stuff (training, scouting, friendlies, youth contracts, etc) in Staff > Responsibilities makes it a lot less overwhelming.

I mean the game is still Outlook Simulator if made entirely in Excel, but I love it.

Excellent tip - thank you!

So I held off buying MW2 this year on the assumption that when the MS-Activision deal finally goes through sometime next year, that it would be added to gamepass.

However, looks like because of an existing contract/deal with Sony, even if the buyout goes through, looks like COD games won't be added for a while?

Unfortunately, at least at launch, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is not coming to Xbox Game Pass. This is primarily because Activision has a deal with Sony that prevents it from releasing Call of Duty games on Game Pass for the foreseeable future.

Microsoft revealed the info above for its case with UK's CMA. According to the document, "The agreement between Activision Blizzard and Sony includes restrictions on the ability of Activision Blizzard to place Call of Duty title on Game Pass for a number of years."

You shouldn't expect Modern Warfare 2 or any Call of Duty game to land on Xbox Game Pass anytime soon.

So basically should be safe to buy the game and avoid the game pass curse of "I just bought this and now its on gamepass jpeg"

I don’t know how that would really work as FM23 would be like an alternate universe of data.

I don't know, I thought it might just update some stats and so on and let you import a save.  Annoying they've taken the old version off rather than letting you play either.

Sony are such contradictory dickheads. Moaning about MS buying Activision, while they’re doing stuff like this.

I have been off sick all week with flu, during that time I have finished the main quest in Skyrim as well as countless others to the point where I feel done with it for now.   I have tried to get into Plague Tale but its not clicked yet.  In my hazy state not much appeals gaming wise, but I just gave Vampire Saviours a go and its a blast!   I love its simplicity and its very addictive.  Any other recommendations of similar simple but good games I could try?

My Xbox All Access has finally come to an end after two years of paying it off, so it’s time for me to do The Conversion Trick.

Anyone bought XBL Gold recently for cheaper than CD Keys’ £38.99? If not that’s what I’ll be buying.

Battlefield 2042 coming to XBGPU and EA Play subscribers in December, at the start of their Season 3 battle pass period.

It's way better than it was a year ago, but that's not really saying much. They're still working through making the original maps interesting, and will be way into next year.

The number of different games released and the constant differing names makes it really hard for someone who doesn't follow the series to know which is the latest or any differences between them. So this is the 'latest' one released last year? But not the 'best' one? I tried last year's for a couple of hours and thought it was just terrible but that's probably as much to do with how my gaming interests have changed as it was to do with the quality of the game. I still hold out hope that another battlefield at some point in the future will be good enough to drag me back in.

Battlefield 1 was probably the last good one, and it wasn't THAT great as they kept fucking around with it after release to its detriment. That series badly lost its way. I don't think there's anyone left at DICE who know how to make a great BF game.

It's sad because up to and including BF4 it was always a really fun time.

Battlefield 1 is an absolute masterpiece and its player numbers have just set a new record I believe. V is brilliant, it wasn’t quite as polished and early on it needed work but it got to a good place.

2042 is far better than it was at launch. Me and my BF crew all stopped playing 2042 weeks after launch, most of us even deleting it which unheard of for a BF title, but now the vehicle balances, map reworks and other updates have occurred, it’s playing far better now.

Vampire Survivors has been stealing most of my gaming time the last couple of days and I don't know why I'm so addicted to it. It looks shit, there's next to no gameplay, the level progress system is not very clear and there's a lot of luck involved in your path to success.

Yet I've been playing round after round until the wee hours, swearing that I'll only do one more run before bed time until I realize I've said that ten times in row and just stop caring.

It's a Skinner box in the guise of a game?

When’s the review embargo for Somerville lift? I always worry when devs block reviews until the past minute. It always feel like they’ve got something to hide. Especially more now Pentiment has reviewed well.

I wouldn’t worry. It’s likely a timing thing to make sure that the game is available to buy at the same time as the reviews landing. It’s probably especially critical for smaller games that aren’t going to be advertised all over the shop in the run-up to release so they need to make the most of the publicity the reviews generate.
