Thanks to someone upthread who recommended Sign of the Sojourner before it left. A lovely game. 

 

9/10 in Edge when it came out but had passed me by. It's leaving end of the month, and is pretty short.

(for anyone still on the fence, it's a really nice, interesting little thing well worth a few playthroughs. A narrative game, but unlike most — conversations are played through as a simple card game to achieve agreement/understanding, and depending how you've built your "deck" you'll find certain characters aren't receptive to you because you lack the appropriate means to communicate. Just something a little bit different)

Quake 4 was published by Activision so it might come to Xbox BC yet at some point

Decided to give Farcry 5 a whirl. Not going to lie, I find myself quite up for shooting cosplaying white nationalists.

Can you not pre-load on PC Game Pass at all, or it is title dependant? I don't seem to be able to install Death Stranding until it is released tomorrow.

Yeah people were sad it was leaving and were waiting for a sale. I think leaving games are on sale before the month they fall off more often than not but it doesn't always happen.

if you make it your primary console, yes, but it'll mean you have to always be online to play on your console

And if you make your Xbox Series X *his* primary console then you can install and play any digital game he might buy.

 

I do this with a friend of mine, we split the cost on every game we both want.

It's of course essential for this arrangement to work that my friend has a very similar taste in games and we both have gaming as our main hobby.

Holy crap yeah, Assassin's Creed Montana is excellent so far. I can't believe I haven't picked this up earlier.

In all honesty, Far Cry 5 isn't too bad for an Ubi Shooter. While the rinse and repeat gameplay gets a bit tired before long the setting is rather good. I mean, how often do we get the chance to go on a murder spree in Hicksville and kill Pro Trumpers while listening to banjo music? 

By no means a game I'd try to recommend but for me it was an excellent on/off affair that I spent time with when I didn't have anything else to play. 

Far Cry 6 however....what a mess.
