Hades is about 7 quid on Eneba if you're that way inclined.

Are Eneba one of those sites that sell digital stuff bought with stolen credit cards or something?

How can they always be so, so much cheaper than anywhere else?

It's just codes from different regions isn't it? And games are cheaper in other countries because the prices are set against what the local market can hold.

So they normally need a VPN to claim.

Disclaimer: Never done it. I've been considering it to double dip on Cult of the Lamb.

They're usually Argentina codes. You buy the code, log into the Microsoft redeem code page on the website while on a VPN set to Argentina and boom.

So I want to start out by thanking everyone for the recommendation to play What Remains of Edith Finch. My word, what a beautifully realized game. And right up my alley having thoroughly enjoyed the story telling of Firewatch. Unfortunately, I had to stop playing Edith Finch:

  Reveal hidden contents

I probably should have guessed that the story would involve details of the death of the children, having happened upon the family tree accidentally as I was exploring. It was odd to be in Molly's bedroom, and that the rooms were locked up unsettled me, as a parent. I didn't expect to briefly play the part of Molly, and I wondered if I was playing out her feverish delusions after eating lead paint or something. My heart just sank when I got to Sam and Calvin's room and Calvin's height chart on the door stopped years before Sam's. And then on the swing, he doesn't get off when called in for dinner and I immediately knew what was coming. Of course, I made him fly and then my wife asked me to turn the game off. We've been married 14 years and that's the first time she's done that. I didn't complain, I couldn't play any more.

Probably wise if it's affecting you or your partner considering what's to come.

Twelve Minutes is possibly the worst game I’ve ever played, and I’ve played an awful lot of shit in the last few years on gamepass.

Will give that Immortality game a go when it’s out, I’m hoping it’s something like Night Trap.

I found the story just about engaging enough and it's got all the gloss, but is such a pain in the arse to actually control and play.

Oh boy, everyone can rediscover just how aggressively mediocre Redguard is! Exciting times.

(incidentally all that boxart being rendered in DVD/blu-ray case-friendly aspect-ratios upsets me slightly. It just looks wrong, the art wasn't designed to be cropped thus!)

I’m house sitting for a mate this weekend - he has a series x with gamepass. Does anyone have any recommendations for titles that could be finished over 2 or 3 evenings?

Last time I did it was during the first heatwave so I just got baked and played powerwash simulator.

As Dusk Falls is only about 5 hours long if you enjoy narrative type games.

Last Stop
The Artful Escape
Life is Strange - True Colors

Playdead's Inside

Supraland

Halo: Infinite Campaign

Firewatch
Limbo

What Remains of Edith Finch (just received an update, running 4k60 on Series X)

Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice

Titanfall 2

Unpacking

The Pedestrian

Donut County

Olija

Some of these can be completed in less than 2 hours, others less than 4 hours, which means you can pick and mix and potentially complete a handful of games over the weekend.
