I can run it with you mate. Might not be until the weekend as it's all about Halo for the next few days but dungeon looks fun. I'm on Xbox for the foreseeable, I'm not double-dipping any more, but will add you as a Bungie chum.

Love that the horse noises are just a bloke doing a not very good impression of a horse.

I'd be up for a Dungeon this weekend too if there's others looking.

Anyone else getting a constant popup about text chat? I seem to get an annoying UI bug every patch.

Nice one, can't remember if we are already xb chums already, will chuck an invite over either way.

Yes, am getting the bug too. Had 'sorry, used the wrong jump' on my screen for most of the night.

Is there any reason to do Dares of Infinity in master mode?

You get a triumph for doing all the different events on Master, plus you get another one for doing it on Master with between two and four people in your fireteam. Probably better loot as well, I dunno.

The 30th anniversary weapons in this are fantastic - the battle rifle-alike is great fun to use, and the Halo pistol is very, very satisfying to use. It's effectively a new weapon archetype that sits between a hand cannon and a sidearm, and it feels like the only really great sidearm since Trespasser (aka Robocop's gun) in Destiny 1.

The only one I'm not too keen on is the shotgun that's modelled on the spinny-reloady shotgun from Marathon 2. Ideally, this would have been a dual-wielded exotic, but I would imagine there are too many animation and resource issues to do that. It still feels very underwhelming - the shotgun in Marathon 2 had to be spin-reloaded after every shot, which was incredibly satisfying. The one in D2 has the wrist-flick reload after you've emptied the clip, which makes it feel like a standard shotgun, which is not very exciting. A missed opportunity.

I didn't even realise it was supposed to be a Marathon tribute, I thought it was just a reskinned chaperone for the sake of using the model!  I'm finding Slideshot or Perpetual Motion with Adagio serviceable, but I still need to fuck around with Opening Shot as it has a tighter spread than usual (obv not as tight as a slug shot).

The Forerunner/BR combo feels a bit too juicy, and I'd be concerned that Bungie are going to give the exotic a kicking like they did to DMT. But I appreciate weapon archetypes that champion hip fire.

The big winner this update is the full auto mod, however. It's made my PvE Timeworn into the updated Battle Scar I always wanted from Bungie, and fully auto 180 hand cannons like the seventh seraph feel wild. My busted fingers also appreciate the mod.

I don't know how long I'm going to keep playing after getting the Forerunner Catalyst (which sounds like it will take an absolute age anyway), but I do appreciate that the f2p event gives out plenty of opportunities to get decent rolls of the guns outside of the dungeon.

First they nerfed the Geomag Stabilizers and now they've nerfed the Contraverse Holds. I'm not even sure the Contraverse Hold change works in Crucible.

I've been trying to get the bounties done as I'm only one Pinnacle away from being 1330 and I cannot get that last one for love nor money. Also I have no idea how to play Crucible any more. I'm lucky if I come out with more than five kills.

So let me get this right?

We, as immortal instruments of death and destruction....Have to bake cookies....And delivery them to people all over the Universe...Instead of fighting the ever encroaching "Darkness" that is destined to take our Light and kill us all etc etc etc?

Is that about the gist of it?

But I suppose its that or take part in an intergalactic snuff game show ala The Running Man?
